The global search tool
The global search tool is a method that you can use to quickly and easily find records and related information. The global search tool is available in all ezyVet screens. It uses a standard set of data for search input.
To use global search, select the search box that shows adjacent to the primary
tabs:
To find records, you can enter this information:
- Contact record names
- Patient names
- Breed names
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Rabies numbers
- Microchip numbers
- Clinical record codes
When you select a search result, ezyVet opens the record in
a new record tab.
Note: ezyVet has settings that a practice manager can use to
configure search weighting. But the settings are only
applicable to the search box of the left sidebar. The
global search tool has automatic search weighting that a practice manager or other
staff cannot adjust.

key.
