Left sidebar: Information that you can use for record search

The left sidebar has a search box that you can use for record search. To find records, you can enter many different types of information in the search box. The search information that you can enter and the results shown are related to the different record types that ezyVet has.

Contact record search

The contact record information for search that you can enter is as follows:
  • Code
  • First name
  • Last name
  • First name of the Secondary Contact
  • Last name of the Secondary Contact
  • Business name
  • Website
  • Email addresses
  • Mobile phone numbers
  • Landline phone numbers
  • Fax numbers
  • The name of a contact method
  • Physical addresses
  • Postal addresses
  • The information of custom fields added to the record
Tip: The available types of information mean that you have many possible methods to find a contact record. For example, a staff member could accidentally enter an incorrect first name for a client. But if you know the address of the client, you can find the record.
When you use the Contacts primary tab to show product records, the search box of the left sidebar shows a set of tabs:

ActiveShows enabled records.
BusShows records that have a Contact Type of Business
IndShows records that have a Contact Type of Individual
I/AShows disabled records.
AllShows all records.

Invoice search

The invoice search information that you can enter is as follows:
  • Invoice number
  • Business name
  • First name of the related client
  • Last name of the related client
  • Code of the related contact record
  • Order number
  • Comments
When you use the Financial primary tab to show invoices, the search box of the left sidebar shows a set of tabs:

NRBShows invoices that have the Not Ready For Billing condition
U/AShows unapproved invoices.
AShows approved invoices.
SShows approved invoices that are emailed or faxed to clients.
N/SShows approved invoices that are not emailed or faxed to clients. For example, if you approve an invoice but do not email it to a client from ezyVet, it shows in the N/S tab.
CShows completed invoices.
Note: A completed invoice is an invoice that is approved and paid.
AllShows all records.
I/AShows disabled records.

Product search

The product search information that you can enter is as follows:
  • Product code
  • Product name
  • Product description
  • Product group
  • Barcodes
  • Supplier codes
When you use the Admin primary tab to show product records, the search box of the left sidebar shows a set of tabs:

This table gives each tab and the search results that it shows:

ActiveIf you select Active, ezyVet shows your product records that are enabled.
I/AIf you select I/A, ezyVet shows your product records that a practice manager disabled.
AllIf you select All, ezyVet shows all of your product records.

Patient record search

The patient search information that you can enter is as follows:
  • Code
  • Microchip number
  • Rabies tag number
  • Patient name
  • First name of the owner
  • Last name of the owner
  • First name of the Secondary Contact
  • Last name of the Secondary Contact
  • Species
  • Breed
Tip: The available types of information mean that you have many possible methods to find a patient record. For example, if you have a lost-and-found patient, you can enter their microchip number to find the applicable patient record.

DeceasedShows deceased patients that are deceased.

Clinical record search

The clinical search information that you can enter is as follows:
  • Consult number
  • Code
  • Microchip number
  • Rabies number
  • Patient name
  • First name of the owner
  • Last name of the owner
  • Species
  • Breed
When you use the Clinical primary tab to show clinical records, the search box of the left sidebar shows a set of tabs:

RecentShows clinical records made in the most recent month.
ActiveShows enabled clinical records.
I/AShows disabled clinical records.
AllShows all clinical records.
When you do a search for clinical records of one patient, ezyVet uses a date sequence to show the search results. ezyVet shows the clinical record with the date of the most recent change at the top of the results:

ezyVet records a date change when you change the text content of the clinical record. ezyVet does not record a date change when you change the file attachments of the record.

Purchase order search

When you use the Financial primary tab to show purchase orders, the search box of the left sidebar shows a set of tabs:

TabSearch results
U/AShows unapproved purchase orders.
AShows approved purchase orders.
SShows purchase orders that are correctly sent to a supplier.
N/SShows approved purchase orders that are not sent to suppliers. For example, if you approve a purchase order but do not email or fax it to a supplier from ezyVet, it shows in the N/S tab.
PRShows purchase orders that have some quantity of the applicable inventory received.
RShows purchase orders that have the full quantity of the applicable inventory received.
Note: When a purchase order shows in the R tab, it does not have a related receive invoice.
CShows purchase orders that are fully received.
AllShows all records.
I/AShows disabled records.
