Do a new inventory count

To record the quantity of products of an inventory location, do an inventory count. To quickly and easily record products for an inventory count, use ezyVet Scan and your device camera to scan product barcodes.

To do an inventory count, do this procedure.

Note: This procedure is applicable to a new inventory count. If you started an inventory count and did not complete it, the inventory count is in progress. To continue an in-progress inventory count, refer to the applicable documentation.

Select the menu button.
ezyVet Scan shows the ezyVet Scan pane.
Select Inventory Count.
ezyVet Scan shows the Inventory Count screen.
Select New Count.
ezyVet Scan shows the New Inventory Count screen.
Use the Department box to select the applicable inventory location, then select Done.
Select Start Count.
ezyVet Scan shows an inventory input screen. The screen has a view from your device camera.
Point your device camera at the barcode of each applicable product and scan it.

Note: When you scan a barcode, ezyVet Scan adds one increment of the product. To add one more of the same product, scan its barcode again. As an alternative, select the plus button that is adjacent to the product.

ezyVet Scan adds the product to the inventory count.

Trouble: If ezyVet Scan shows a Scanned Barcode did not match a product error message, select the search button and try to find the product.

Make sure that the inventory count has the correct products, then select Submit.
ezyVet Scan shows a Submit Count pop-up window:
Select Yes.
