Configure a clinical template to use a picklist

If a practice manager does the necessary configuration, staff can use a picklist when they enter information in a clinical record that uses an applicable clinical template.

  • Make sure that your user account has the necessary permissions
  • Make sure that you know how to use the source text of a picklist
  • Make sure that you prepare the necessary information for the picklist (for example, the question and answers)
To configure a clinical template to use a picklist, do this procedure.
Note: This procedure uses a configured clinical template as an example. You can also configure a new clinical template to use a picklist.
Note: This procedure does not use the picklist builder. It uses the picklist source text only.
  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin tab
  2. In the settings list, select Templates.
The Templates setting in the settings list
  3. Select Clinical Templates.
    The Clinical Templates setting
ezyVet shows the configured clinical templates of your site.
  4. Select the applicable clinical template.
ezyVet shows the settings of the clinical template and its source text.
  5. Enter the source text that is necessary to make the picklist.
Remember: For more information about the source text, refer to Source text format of picklists.
Tip: For picklist examples, refer to Easy examples of picklist source text and results.
  6. Select Save.
