Disable a product barcode

If a barcode for a product record is not necessary, you can use ezyVet Scan to disable the product barcode. As a result, ezyVet Scan syncs the change to the related product record in ezyVet.

Make sure that your ezyVet user account has the Administration > Product > Edit Products permission.
To disable a barcode, do this procedure.
Note: The result of this procedure disables a product barcode but does not permanently remove the barcode. A practice manager can find an applicable product record in ezyVet and enable a disabled barcode again. If they use ezyVet to enable the barcode:
  1. ezyVet syncs the change to ezyVet Scan
  2. The product in ezyVet Scan shows the barcode
  1. Select the menu button.

  2. Select Products.
    The Inventory Count button
    ezyVet Scan shows a Products screen. The screen shows product records that are synced from ezyVet.
  3. Find and select the applicable product.

  4. Select the remove button that is adjacent to the applicable barcode.

  5. Select Yes.
ezyVet Scan:
  1. Disables the barcode and removes the barcode from the product view
  2. Syncs the change to the related product record in ezyVet
