Make a diagnostic code for IDEXX Web PACS

After a practice manager makes a record for the diagnostic code, staff can select it when they make a diagnostic imaging request.

Make sure that your ezyVet site has a configured supplier contact record for the IDEXX Web PACS integration.
To make the code, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.

  2. In the settings list, select Products.

  3. Select + New product.

  4. Select Single product.

  5. Select Standard.

  6. Select Diagnostic.

  7. In the Product Code box, enter an applicable code.

  8. In the Product Name box, enter a name for the diagnostic code.

  9. Use the Primary Group box to select an applicable product group (for example, Radiography).
  10. In the Department box, select the department or business unit that the diagnostic code is available in.

    Note: ezyVet only shows the Department box if your ezyVet site uses a department or business unit configuration.
  11. In the Cost box, enter a cost for the diagnostic code.
  12. In the Tax Rate box, select an applicable tax rate.
  13. Select Create a new Site Diagnostic.

  14. In the Diagnostic Supplier (optional) box, select the applicable supplier contact record of the IDEXX Web PACS integration
  15. Select Save.

    The Properties section shows a Linked Diagnostic box with the name of a new site diagnostic record.
ezyVet has:
  • A site diagnostic that identities the diagnostic code and that staff select when they send a diagnostic imaging request
  • A diagnostic product that ezyVet uses to automatically invoice the diagnostic code
