About the emergency drugs button

Vet Radar has an emergency drugs button. You can use the emergency drugs button to quickly and easily calculate the dosage of emergency drugs. An emergency drug is a drug that you give to a patient for emergency care.

When you select the emergency drugs button, Vet Radar shows the Emergency Drugs pane. When you enter the patient's weight, Vet Radar calculates the dose rate for the treatments that show in the Emergency Drugs pane.

The emergency drugs template

A practice manager must configure the emergency drugs template before you can use the emergency drugs button. Vet Radar uses the emergency drugs template to show the necessary information in the Emergency Drugs pane.

The emergency drugs button in the workflow whiteboard and patient whiteboard

You can select the emergency drugs button from the workflow whiteboard and patient whiteboard. You must enter the applicable patient’s weight to get the dose rate for each emergency drug.

You cannot add an emergency drug to a patient sheet from the whiteboard.

About the emergency drugs button in a patient sheet

If you select the emergency drugs button from a patient sheet, you can add a treatment to the patient sheet. As a result, Vet Radar automatically enters the patient's weight in the Patient Weight box:

The Emergency Drugs pane shows a green plus button. If you select the green plus button, Vet Radar adds the applicable treatment in the patient sheet.
