Statuses for e-claims that do not use an ezyVet integration

When you send an e-claim to an insurance company that does not have an integration, you must manually change the e-claim status. The status is important to identify each step of the life of an insurance claim.

To manually change the status, use the Status box that shows in the e-claim record sidebar:

This table gives the name of each status and when to use it:

Claim is generatedezyVet automatically changes the status to Claim is generated when you make an e-claim.
Claim is being processedSelect Claim is being processed when the insurance company examines the e-claim.
Claim is approvedSelect Claim is approved when the insurance company agreed to pay the e-claim.
Claim is settledSelect Claim is settled when the insurance company paid the e-claim.
Claim is declinedSelect Claim is declined when the insurance company declined the e-claim.
Claim is invalidSelect Claim is invalid when the e-claim has incorrect information or information that is not completed.
Claim needs more informationSelect Claim needs more information when the insurance company sends a request for more information.
Claim is cancelledSelect Claim is cancelled when a staff member canceled the e-claim.
Claim cancelled by providerSelect Claim cancelled by provider when the insurance company canceled the e-claim.
