Do a new inventory transfer (barcode scan method)

To record the quantity of products that you move from one location to a different location, do an inventory transfer. To quickly and easily record products for an inventory transfer, use ezyVet Scan and your device camera to scan product barcodes.

To do a new inventory transfer, do this procedure.
Note: ezyVet Scan has two methods that you can use to add products to an inventory transfer:
  • Product search method
  • Barcode scan method
If the device that you use with ezyVet Scan does not have a camera or it cannot scan barcodes, use the product search method. For more information, refer to the documentation about the product search method.
Note: This procedure is applicable to a new inventory transfer. If you started an inventory transfer and did not complete it, the inventory transfer is in progress. To continue an in-progress inventory transfer, refer to the applicable documentation.
  1. Select the menu button.

  2. Select Inventory Transfer.

  3. Select New Transfer.

    ezyVet Scan shows an inventory input screen. The screen has a view from your device camera. And the screen includes boxes to select inventory locations.
  4. Select the first box.

    ezyVet Scan shows inventory locations that are available to select as the initial inventory location.
  5. Select an applicable initial inventory location, then select Done.

  6. Select the second box.

  7. Select an applicable initial inventory location, then select Done.

  8. Point your device camera at the barcode of each applicable product and scan it.
    Note: When you scan a barcode, ezyVet Scan adds one increment of the product. To add one more of the same product, scan its barcode again. As an alternative, select the plus button that is adjacent to the product.
    Tip: After you scan a barcode, ezyVet Scan automatically scans again in an specified interval. If necessary, you can change the interval.
    ezyVet Scan adds the product to the inventory transfer.
    Trouble: If ezyVet Scan shows a Scanned Barcode did not match a product error message, select the search button and try to find the product.

  9. Make sure that the inventory transfer has the correct products, then select Submit.

  10. Select Yes.
    ezyVet Scan shows a confirmation message.
ezyVet Scan syncs the inventory transfer to ezyVet.
