About the integration for Trupanion exam day offers
The integration for Trupanion for exam day offers makes it easy for your clients to enroll in Trupanion medical insurance for pets.
These are the general steps to send an insurance offer:
- A staff member finds which patients do not have insurance
- A staff member speaks to the applicable patient about an Exam Day Offer.
- The patient owner gives approval to send their insurance eligibility information to Trupanion
- The staff member sends the information to Trupanion from ezyVet directly
- If Trupanion makes a decision that the patient is eligible for insurance, they send an Exam Day Offer to the patient owner
- If the patient activates the Exam Day Offer, the patient has Trupanion coverage for a 30-day trial period
Because most of the steps are fully online, clients can quickly and easily get insurance for their pet.

Before your organization can use Trupanion insurance with ezyVet, ezyVet customer support and your Trupanion Territory Partner must do some configuration steps. To start the configuration, contact your Trupanion Territory Partner. They will contact ezyVet customer support. Then:
- ezyVet customer support will configure the integration for Trupanion exam day offers for you
- Your Trupanion Territory Partner will contact you to complete remaining configuration steps to make sure that you can use Trupanion insurance
Insurance eligibility information
Insurance eligibility information is client and patient information that Trupanion must have to know if a patient is eligible to receive an Exam Day Offer from Trupanion. ezyVet sends the insurance eligibility information directly to Trupanion. The Send client data to Trupanion dialog box shows the information that ezyVet will send.
