Easy Clinical Notes and clinical template picklists

Input and Select... identify picklists in the clinical template text. A picklist helps you to quickly and easily enter clinical information. If template text shows Input, you can manually enter a value at the Input location. If template text shows Select..., select the text to show a list of items that you can select.

Clinical template text shows an example of text that shows in a clinical note. Select... shows two times and Input shows three times.

Picklist selection shows an example of what ezyVet does after you select a Select... text item. In the example, ezyVet shows a list that you can use to select applicable information.

A practice manager can configure a clinical template picklist to do automatic product invoicing. A picklist with an invoicing configuration has the product code of an applicable product in its source text. When you use the picklist in a clinical template, ezyVet can automatically add the product to the billing triggers of the applicable record. Thus, a picklist with an invoicing configuration makes it easy to quickly add products to an invoice while you use the picklist.

The Easy Clinical Notes pilot feature is compatible with picklists that have an invoicing configuration. After you select an applicable picklist product when you enter clinical notes, ezyVet shows the product in a sidebar. Then you can use the sidebar to add the item to the consultation invoice.

The left side of Picklist product and sidebar shows a picklist item for a one-hour physical exam. The item is a product that has the price of the physical exam. A practice manager configured the picklist to add the one-hour exam to the billing triggers of an applicable ezyVet record. Thus, if you select the picklist item, ezyVet shows the product for the one-hour exam in a sidebar. The right side of the figure shows the sidebar and the entry for the one-hour exam.

Each product entry in the sidebar has a button that you can use to add the product to the consultation invoice:

To add all applicable products to the invoice, select Bill All. And to show only the products that you did not add to the invoice, select Hide billed.

To remove a product that you added to the consultation invoice, select the vertical ellipsis for the applicable sidebar entry. Then select Delete:

To easily open the consultation invoice, select the vertical ellipsis for a sidebar entry, then select Invoice. As a result, ezyVet opens the invoice in a new record tab.

Keyboard shortcuts for text formatting
