The inventory count screen

To quickly and easily add, change, and show inventory count information, use the inventory count screen.

Note: You can also use ezyVet Scan to do inventory counts and sync them to ezyVet.

To select the department of the inventory count, use the Department box. And to select the inventory location of the inventory count, use the Inventory Location box.

Note: The inventory count screen has a Date & time box that automatically records the date and time when you start the inventory count. If necessary, you can change it to a date and time that occurred less than one month before today. After you approve an inventory count, you cannot change the date and time.

The inventory count screen shows line items that you can use to record product information for an inventory count. Use a line item to:

Select a product
Select a batch
Record the quantity of the product of the inventory location

As a result, the line item shows:

The product code
The expiration date of the product batch
The product quantity that you recorded in an inventory count before this one
The difference between the quantity that you entered and the quantity that you recorded before

Note: ezyVet automatically saves inventory count changes that you make. For example, if you add a product to a line item, ezyVet automatically saves the change.

Buttons of the inventory count screen

The table that follows gives each function of the buttons of the inventory count screen:


Button	Function
Start Count	Use the Start Count button to start the inventory count. After you start the inventory count: You cannot change the department of the inventory count You cannot change the inventory location of the inventory count
Approve	Use the Approve button to approve the inventory count. After you approve the inventory count: The A tab of the left sidebar shows the inventory count The inventory count has the Approved status You cannot make changes to the inventory count's information You cannot unapprove the inventory count You cannot deactivate the inventory count
Disable	Use the Disable button to deactivate the inventory count. After you deactivate the inventory count: You cannot approve the inventory count The I/A tab of the left sidebar shows the inventory count The inventory count shows the Disabled status
Add new line	Use the Add new line button to add a line item to the inventory count.
Trash can button	Use the trash can button to remove a line item of the inventory count.
Restore	Use the Restore button to activate an inventory count record that is deactivated.
