IDEXX VetLab Station integration and more than one VetLab Station device

A practice manager can configure one IDEXX VetLab Station integration and use it with a maximum of five VetLab Station devices. When a staff member makes a diagnostic request in ezyVet, they can select which device to send the request to.

To configure the VetLab Station integration to use more than one device, a practice manager uses the VetLab Station serial number(s) boxes to select each device serial number:

When a staff member makes a diagnostic request, they use the VetLab Station setting of the New Diagnostic Request dialog box to select the applicable VetLab Station. The VetLab Station setting shows the device serial numbers that the practice manager configured in the integration.

Note: A staff member can set VetLab Station to Send to all VetLab Stations. As a result, all devices receive the diagnostic request. When a staff member uses one of the devices to do the diagnostic test, they must remove the request from the other devices.
Note: The VetLab Station setting shows only when these conditions agree:
  1. The veterinarian that a staff member selects in the Vet box is in the same department as the configured integration
  2. The integration has more than one VetLab Station configured
