Clinical types

After you select the product type of a new product record, you must usually select a clinical type. ezyVet uses the clinical type that you select to show applicable settings.

If you set a product record's product type to Service fee or configure it as a product bundle, you cannot select a clinical type. For all other product records, you must select one of these clinical types:
  • None
  • Medication
  • Vaccination
  • Procedure
  • Diagnostic​
Note: If you set a product record's clinical type to None, the product record does not have related clinical settings. For example, when you add the product to an invoice, the product does not show in a related clinical record.
Note: If you configure a product record as a product bundle or a service fee, you cannot select a clinical type.
Important: After you select a clinical type, only persons with the user account permissions that follow can change it:
  • Administration > System Settings
  • Administration > Product > Edit Products
A person with the necessary permissions can:
  • Change the clinical type of one product record in the applicable record tab
  • Use the Change Clinical Type command of the Records dashboard tab's Action list to change the clinical type of many product records
