Add an addendum to information of a locked clinical record

A clinical record keeps its information in other records that have a relation to the clinical record. For example, a medication that a staff member added to a clinical record is in a medication record. If a clinical record is locked, you can use an addendum to add information to the other records. The addendum does not cause a change to the records.

To add an addendum, do this procedure.
Note: As an alternative, you can add an addendum to a clinical record directly.
  1. Select Clinical.
    The Clinical tab
  2. Find and select the applicable clinical record that is locked.
Tip: To quickly find locked clinical records, select the Locked tab in the left sidebar:
    The Locked tab
  3. Find and open the applicable record of the clinical record.
For example, to open a medication record, double-click the applicable record shown in the Medication section:
    The Medication section
ezyVet shows a dialog box that has settings and information about the record.
  4. Select Add Addendum.
    The Add Addendum button
ezyVet shows the New Addendums dialog box.
  5. In the Notes box, enter the applicable information.

  6. To control who can see the information, use the Addendum Visibility setting.
    The Addendum Visibility setting
Note: If you set Addendum Visibility to Public, the information shows in printed clinical histories and printed clinical summaries. If you set Addendum Visibility to Internal Only, ezyVet shows the information only to persons who are signed in to ezyVet.
  7. Select Add.
    The Add button
    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

The record has the necessary information. And the information does not change the record.
