Clinical summaries

Send a clinical summary

A clinical summary helps a client to know about the veterinary care that your organization gave to a patient.

Make sure that a practice manager made the necessary clinical summaries and document template for you to select and use.
To send a clinical summary, do this procedure.
  1. Select Clinical.
    The Clinical tab
    The left sidebar shows clinical records of your ezyVet site.
  2. In the left sidebar, find and select the applicable clinical record.
    ezyVet shows settings and information of the clinical record.
  3. Select Summaries.

  4. In the Summary Name box, select the type of clinical summary that you want to send.

    If a practice manager did the applicable configuration for the selected clinical template:
    • ezyVet automatically selects a document template in the Template box
    • ezyVet automatically puts clinical information in the Exclude box and Include box
    • Sets Split by to Type or Date

    If necessary, you can make changes to the template, clinical information, and the Split by setting in step 5, 7, and 8.

  5. If applicable, use the Template box, to select a document template or to change the template.
  6. Use the Start box and End box to select the date range for the clinical summary.
  7. If applicable, set Split by to Type or Date.

  8. If applicable, drag each type of clinical information between the Exclude box and Include box as necessary.

  9. If you want to do a check of the clinical summary before you send it, select Preview Summary.
  10. In the Client's Email Address box, enter the email address of the applicable person.
  11. Select Send To Client.

    ezyVet shows a confirmation message.
ezyVet sends the clinical summary to the client in a time range that a practice manager configured ezyVet to send messages in. The Clinical Summary section of the screen shows a record of the clinical summary:
