Release notes: ezyVet version 46.0

ezyVet version 46.0 is available from October 6, 2026.

Note: Features and functions for a new version release become available gradually. Not all features and functions are available immediately.

Change to API integration configuration

When you add a new API integration, ezyVet shows a list of API partners in the Partner box. Use these methods to find a ezyVet partner:
  • Type text to find partners that align with the text you enter
  • Use the up and down arrow keys to move through the results.
  • Use the Enter key to select a partner, or Escape to close the list

Note: If ezyVet cannot find a partner's name from your search, the Partner box shows No Matches.

After you select a partner, ezyVet fills the Application Name box with the partner's name.

Changes to client contact records

Note: Some sites received these changes in ezyVet version 43.6.

Client contact records have a new Hospital box. The Hospital box shows a client's hospital. A hospital in ezyVet identifies each physical location of your organization.

When you make a client contact record, ezyVet automatically sets the client's hospital in the Hospital box:

Change to the display of in-inventory, available, and committed units for batches

In an Edit Batch dialog box, ezyVet shows a holdings panel with these units for the batch:
  • On hand
  • Available
  • Committed

The panel also names the ezyVet record that holds the most committed units. (The figures include only the hospitals that you have access to.)

Change to the Inventory Take report

When you activate Include Batch Details, the output of the Inventory Take report shows an Expiry Date column and an Is Expired column for each batch row in these outputs:
  • On-screen
  • PDF
  • CSV
  • Excel

ezyVet highlights expired batch rows in light red.

Other changes

The Inventory Balance table keeps your Show Expired and Show zero quantity settings. Previously, these settings went back to off each time you opened the table. ezyVet keeps the settings for each staff member, on all of your devices. Other staff members do not see your settings. If you did not change a setting, it stays off.

The Backorder report has a From box and a To box for the purchase order creation date. You can use them to narrow the report to a specific date range, which ezyVet automatically sets to the last six months. When you enter an invalid or reversed date range, ezyVet shows an error message instead of an empty report.

When ezyVet puts more than one unencrypted PDF document together into one PDF document, ezyVet makes the PDF document faster. But if one or more of the PDF documents is encrypted, ezyVet makes the PDF document at the previous speed.

Fix: Billing trigger failure after you change the staff member of an approved invoice line item

When you change the staff member of an approved invoice line item:
  • ezyVet uses the new staff member in the dispense record that it adds for the line item
  • ezyVet uses the new staff member as the prescriber of the prescription that it adds for the dispense
  • If ezyVet could not add the dispense record before the change, ezyVet tries again with the new staff member
  • If the line item is in a service fee, ezyVet uses the staff member of the product line item in the service fee
Previously, ezyVet used the staff member that was on the line item when you approved it. As a result:
  1. If that staff member was not a veterinarian, ezyVet could not add the dispense record or complete the billing trigger.
  2. If you changed the staff member to a veterinarian, ezyVet did not use the change until you unapproved the invoice. Until then, ezyVet could not complete the billing trigger.
Note: ezyVet does not change dispense records that it added before you changed the staff member.

Fix for unallocated batch values

ezyVet version 46.0 corrects how it uses a batch-tracked product's unallocated inventory in:
  • The Inventory Take report
  • An inventory count that you used a CSV file to do

The output of the Inventory Take report shows Unallocated in the Batch column for a product that has unallocated inventory. You can identify the row in the exported CSV file. Previously, if a row's product had unallocated inventory, the Batch column showed empty.

If you do an inventory count with a CSV file, you can enter Unallocated as the Batch value. If you enter Unallocated, ezyVet sets the product's unallocated inventory level to zero. Previously, if the Batch value was empty or set to Unallocated, you could not upload the CSV file for the inventory count.

If you enter a quantity in the CSV file that is more than the available unallocated inventory at the selected location and date:
  • You cannot upload the CSV file for an inventory count
  • ezyVet shows an error message

If you keep the Batch value empty, an error message tells you to enter Unallocated.

Fix: PDF statement problems

When two or more statement PDFs for one contact and period start at the same time, each PDF shows the correct and complete statement. This occurs when:
  • You print a statement or open it as a PDF
  • ezyVet sends a statement in an email
  • You start or preview the Statements report for one contact or for more than one contact
Previously, when two of these statement PDFs started at the same time, ezyVet could:
  • Show or send a statement PDF with no content
  • Send a statement email without its statement PDF
  • Show or send the statement from a different try (for example, one missing a payment recorded between the two)

Fix: Merge duplicate batches

In an Edit batch dialog box, the More actions section has a Replace or merge batch box. You can select a batch in this box to do one of these tasks:
  • Merge a duplicate batch into this batch.
  • Move the inventory of this batch to a different batch.

A duplicate batch has the same name as this batch. To merge batches, you must have the Administration > Product > Merge Products permission and the Administration > Merge Records permission.

When you select a batch, the name of the button changes to Save & Merge or Save & Move.

Note: A merge changes the batch for all hospitals that use it. After a merge, you cannot divide the batch again in the Edit batch dialog box. A move changes the batch for your ezyVet hospital only.

Previously, an Edit batch dialog box did not have a merge function. To remove a duplicate batch, you changed its inventory to zero and then deactivated it.

Other fixes

When you activate the Use Remote Signatures setting, ezyVet correctly adds the #REMOTE-SIGNATURE-LINK# variable to the body of an email template. When you deactivate the setting, ezyVet removes the variable. If you remove the variable from the template when the setting is activated, ezyVet adds it again when you save the template. Previously, ezyVet did not add the variable and showed an error message when you saved the template.
