Release notes: ezyVet version 45.3
ezyVet version 45.3 is available from June 30, 2026.
Changes to inventory settings of product records
The Filters section of a product record's inventory settings has a new Clear all button. Use the button to remove all filters that you selected.
Adjacent to the name of the Inventory balances table of a product record's inventory settings, ezyVet version 45.3 has a new question mark icon. When you hover over the icon, ezyVet shows a message that tells you about the function of the In inventory column and the Available column.
Change to error message text in inherited sites
- The record is deactivated in the central site
- The record is not configured to sync to inherited sites
- The record is not compatible with the inherited site's version of ezyVet
- The record is a copy of a record that the inherited site has
The message tells you the cause of the problem and what you can do to correct it. Previously, the message only told you that ezyVet did not sync the record.
Changes to centralized inheritance configuration
- If you are signed in to a central site, the screen shows the site's inherited sites
- If you are signed in to an inherited site, the screen shows the site's central site and the records that it syncs
Previously, the screen could try to show information for the wrong site type (for example, an inherited site's screen could try to show information for central sites).
- Connect a central site to a different central site
- Connect an inherited site to a different inherited site
If you try to configure a site to be a central site and an inherited site at the same time, ezyVet shows an error message.
Easy Clinical Notes (pilot feature): Changes to treatment plans
- You add a product or a clinical procedure
- You remove a product or a clinical procedure
- You change the quantity of a product or a clinical procedure to zero
To show the change in the clinical record, it is not necessary to refresh the clinical record. Previously, it was necessary to refresh the clinical record.
Standard Interpretation Service (pilot feature): Change to species and breeds from interpretation providers
An interpretation provider can supply an identifier and a name for each species and each breed. The species and the breeds from an interpretation provider show the provider's names and not the identifiers. An interpretation provider can also change the name of a species or a breed without a new record.
- Asteris
- IDEXX Web PACS
- Standard PACS
- RocketPACS
Changes to diagnostic interpretation requests
VetMedStat integration: ezyVet automatically sends a diagnostic interpretation request only after the request has a service code and a history. Previously, ezyVet could try to send a request that had no service code or history. As a result, the request did not go to the interpretation provider.
You can change the information in the Dx Request box of a Dx Interpretation Request pop-up window until you send the request. Previously, you could not change the information.
Change to staff members on invoices
- On an approved invoice, ezyVet does not show the Change staff member bulk action
- You cannot select the Change All button in the staff member column
- When you hover over the Change All button, ezyVet shows a message that tells you that the invoice is financially locked
Previously, you could change the staff member of an approved invoice.
Change to the VETSCAN FUSE integration
You cannot send a new diagnostic request with the VETSCAN FUSE integration. When you try to send a request, ezyVet shows an information banner. The banner tells you to replace the integration with a Zoetis point-of-care standard diagnostics integration (SDI). If ezyVet automatically sends a request, ezyVet shows an error message.
Change to hospital records
- IDEXX made your site on or after July 20, 2026
- Your site has a single-site configuration
If you try to add a second hospital, ezyVet shows a message that tells you that you must have a business unit configuration or a department configuration.
Changes to the ezyVet calendar controls
ezyVet version 45.3 removes the Show extra details setting from the calendar controls. Previously, the setting controlled the information that an appointment card shows. The setting also controlled planning guides.
In the new calendar design, these appointment information settings control the information that an appointment card shows:
- Show consult number
- Show species label
- Show species icon
- Show status icon
- Show other icons
To hide information from an appointment card, clear the applicable setting.
In the previous calendar design, an appointment card shows all of the applicable information:
To show or hide planning guides in a calendar, use the Show planning guides setting.
In the new calendar design, all staff members can use the Show planning guides setting. Previously, only staff members with the user account permission could use the setting.
Other changes
Standard version of the Controlled Drug report: If you dispensed a batch-tracked medication from a product container, the report output shows the batch number and batch expiration date.
ezyVet version 45.3 has a new {BatchNumberAndExpiry} template variable that you can use to show the batch number and batch expiration date of a batch-tracked product that you invoiced. If an invoiced product has more than one batch, the variable output puts a comma between sets of batch information.
Adjacent to the System Password box of user account settings, ezyVet version 45.3 has a new eye button. Use the button to show or hide a password that you entered. For a user account record that has a password, the button shows after you select Reset Password. Previously, you could not show a password that you entered.
The Inventory Take report has a new Batch column. In the initial report output, the Batch column always shows empty. If you use the output as a template to do a CSV file import for an inventory count, enter batch numbers for each batch-tracked product.
ezyVet system settings: You can select Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) as a currency in Financial Settings.
In the online portal and the kiosk, ezyVet calculates the available appointment times more quickly. The improvement is most noticeable at practices that have many appointments. ezyVet shows the same available appointment times as before.
Fix for the Provet integration
- You can connect a product record to the supplier contact record
- If you scan a product barcode that has a code of the supplier contact record, ezyVet finds the applicable product record
- You can send purchase orders to Provet
- You could not connect a product record to the supplier contact record
- When you tried to connect a product record to the supplier contact record, ezyVet showed an error message
- You could not scan a product barcode to find a product record
- You could not send a purchase order to Provet
Fix for price increases of product bundles
- You use the Records dashboard tab to increase the prices
- You do not select Price Change Inc. TAX
Previously, if you did not select Price Change Inc. TAX, ezyVet incorrectly decreased the prices.
Fix for sales templates
- You select a tax rate of 0% for a line item.
- You save the sales template.
Previously, ezyVet changed a selected tax rate of 0% to the tax rate configured in the site settings.
Fix for batch expiration dates
- You add a batch that has the same batch number as a deactivated batch of the same product
- In the new batch record, you enter an expiration date that is not before today
- ezyVet activates the deactivated batch
If you try to add a batch with the same batch number as a deactivated batch of the same product, ezyVet activates the deactivated batch. When ezyVet activates the batch, it changes the batch's expiration date to the date that you entered when you tried to add a batch.
- Did not activate the batch
- Showed this error message: This batch is expired.
Fixes for inventory transfers
After you select Split Transfer to make a copy of an inventory transfer, ezyVet correctly keeps the quantities of each product in the initial transfer. Previously, ezyVet changed the quantities of each product to be equal to the available inventory levels.
- Some line items incorrectly had a quantity of 0 in the Split Qty box
- After you selected Split Inventory Transfer, ezyVet removed line items that incorrectly had a quantity of 0 in the Split Qty box from the copied inventory transfer
Fixes for supplier selection in inventory orders
- You select Add Required Inventory. As a result, ezyVet opens the Add Required Inventory dialog box.
- In the Preferred Supplier box, you select Configured Supplier.
Previously, ezyVet could use a supplier configured for a different department in the same ezyVet hospital.
When you select Cheapest List Price or Cheapest Price in the Preferred Supplier box, ezyVet correctly uses the supplier that has the lowest price. Previously, ezyVet could use a different supplier that frequently had a higher price.
Fixes for other types of inventory records
- Inventory orders
- Purchase orders
- Received inventory records
- Received invoice records
Previously, when you selected the column names, ezyVet did not change the sequence of line items.
When you import a CSV file for an inventory adjustment, ezyVet operates correctly. And if there is a problem with the CSV file, ezyVet shows a message that tells you what to correct. Previously, if there was a problem with the CSV file and ezyVet could not do the inventory adjustment, ezyVet could show Upload Completed.
Fixes for the Records dashboard tab
ezyVet shows the correct text color for each section name in the screen. Previously, ezyVet showed the section names in a yellow color that was not easy to read.
- You use the Records dashboard tab to set the tax rate for many products
- The set tax rate for each product is the same as the tax rate that you try to change to
- You select Change Sales Tax in the Product Sales Tax Change dialog box
Previously, if each selected product had the set tax rate that you tried to change to, the Change Sales Tax button did not operate correctly.
Easy Clinical Notes (pilot feature): Fix for treatment plans
When you add an item to a treatment plan, ezyVet records the date and the time that you added the item. Previously, ezyVet recorded the date and the time of the first item that you added to the treatment plan. As a result, the dates in medication records and vaccination records were incorrect, and the standard of care records showed the incorrect date.
Fixes for the Inventory Value report
The weighted average cost correctly includes inventory that came to a location in an inventory transfer. Previously, ezyVet gave this inventory a value of $0.00, and the total inventory value was incorrect.
When you open the CSV output of a report in a spreadsheet, special characters show correctly. Previously, some special characters showed incorrectly (for example, the star symbol [ ★ ]).
Fix for the Controlled Drug report
If a line item in the Controlled Drug report has no related medication record, ezyVet correctly completes the report output. Previously, ezyVet did not complete the report output and showed this error message: Error: {"type":"general","error":"A server error occurred while rendering the file contents"}. The problem was most frequent when an automated report started the Controlled Drug report.
Fix for statements
- You put the pointer on the statement
- You opened a preview of the statement
- You printed many statements together
Fixes for document templates
A document that you send for a remote signature shows the logo of the division that you sent the document from. Previously, the document showed the logo of the first division in the document template. As a result, a client saw the logo of a different practice.
A consent form that ezyVet sends for an appointment shows each question correctly, and each question has a box that a client can complete. This is applicable when the consent form uses a document template from the template editor. Previously, the questions overlapped each other, some questions showed template code, and most questions had no box to complete. It is not necessary to change the document templates.
Fixes for memos about diagnostic results from diagnostics integrations
- Select Admin.
- Select Users/Resources.
- Select Users.
- In the left sidebar, select your user account.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Go to the Notification Settings section.
- Adjacent to Integrated Diagnostic Results, select Final or None.Note: If Integrated Diagnostic Results was previously set to None, ezyVet version 45.3 changed the setting to All.
Fixes for clinical summaries
- The summary has diagnostic attachments
- The patient's name has special characters
Previously, you could not show the content of the clinical summary in ezyVet. And when you tried to send the summary, ezyVet showed an error message.
In clinical summaries, medication names show correctly and have correct formatting. Previously, medication names could include formatting code and did not have correct formatting (for example, <b>Gabapentin 100mg (Per Capsule)</b>).
Fixes for the template editor
When you make changes to a template, you can use the Special Container setting for title formatting. As a result, the title has the same formatting as other templates. Previously, the Special Container setting was not available for title formatting in the template editor.
In the Font section and the Size section of the template editor, ezyVet automatically selects (Default). As a result, template content uses the font family and font size configured in template settings. Previously, ezyVet did not select (Default), and template content could show a different font and a different font size.
You can use the template editor to make changes to an image in a label template. Previously, you could not use the template editor to make changes to an image in a label template.
If you select Click to Expand in a document section, ezyVet correctly shows the content of the section. Previously, when you selected Click to Expand, ezyVet did not show the content of the section.
Other fixes
When you send a statement from the Statements report and you do not select an email template, ezyVet correctly uses the configured statement email template. Previously, ezyVet used a different email template.
The output of the Appointment Status report correctly includes the last appointment that you added. Previously, the output did not include the appointment until you saved a change to it or added a different appointment. As a result, if a date range had only one appointment, the report output was empty.
Price settings of product records: If you do not select a department or business unit, ezyVet correctly saves the product price settings. Previously, ezyVet did not save the settings.
Automated communications: When a template has the {AnimalSOCSummary} template variable, ezyVet correctly completes a related communication task. Previously, ezyVet could stop the communication task and send you a memo about the problem.
E-claims: When you add an e-claim from a client contact record, ezyVet enters the client's information in the e-claim. Previously, ezyVet did not enter the client's information, and it was necessary to enter it manually.
Thumbnail images: The Attachments tab of a clinical record correctly shows the thumbnail image of an SVG attachment. Previously, the Attachments tab did not show the thumbnail image.
Estimates screen: If you double-click an estimate line item that has a product, ezyVet correctly shows the product record settings. Previously, ezyVet did not show the settings.
