ezyVet version 45.4 is available from July 14, 2026.
New
{PrescriptionExternalMedicationsListWithNoRefills} template variable. The output of the {PrescriptionExternalMedicationsListWithNoRefills} template variable:- Shows external medications of the prescription
- Does not show refill information for the external medications
Changes to inventory settings of product records
- The name of the Business box changed to Business Unit
- The name of the Inventory location box changed to Inventory Location
In the Inventory balances table of batch-tracked products, the name of the Show disabled setting changed to Show Expired.
- The batch does not have a batch number (that is, the batch number shows Unallocated)
- The batch has an inventory level of 0
- The product does not have a batch that has a batch number
- The product does not have a batch that shows Unallocated and has an inventory level that is not 0
For products that have Tracking Level set to Product, the Inventory balances table shows information for inventory locations that have an inventory level of 0. Previously, the table did not show information for inventory locations that had an inventory level of 0.
Changes to the ezyVet calendar (new calendar design only)
If an appointment has an address, ezyVet shows the address on wide appointment cards:
To show or hide addresses on appointment cards, select Show addresses in the Appointment info settings.
ezyVet keeps the Appointment info settings that you selected. If you did not change the Appointment info settings, ezyVet shows all of the appointment information on an appointment card. The information includes the species icon and the status icon.
Changes to the source code view of the template editor
- Enter text to find in the HTML source
- Select Next or Previous to move to the other results
- Select Match case to find only the text that has the same uppercase and lowercase letters
- Select Replace to replace the selected result, or Replace all to replace all of the results
Change to interpretation requests
- Pertinent Patient History
- Physical Exam
- Vital Signs
- Diagnostics
- Treatment
- Last Meal
- Clinical Concern/Differentials
Below the Pertinent Patient History, Physical Exam, and Vital Signs section titles, ezyVet also puts the applicable data from the clinical record. If you select a template, or a supplier that is not VetMedStat, ezyVet removes the section titles and shows the template contents.
IDEXX Web PACS: species and breed mappings are now optional. You no longer have to map a patient's species and breed before you send a diagnostic request to IDEXX Web PACS — if a mapping is missing, ezyVet sends its own species and breed information instead. Existing mappings continue to be used.
Change to the rVetLink integration settings
In the rVetLink integration settings, ezyVet always shows the Account SID box, the Auth Token box, and the connection status. You can enter the rVetLink API credentials without a change to the Import Referrals setting. Previously, ezyVet showed the boxes only when you selected Import Referrals, and ezyVet did not upload referral files for practices that had no credentials.
Other changes
The Vello text-messaging panel in ezyVet has an updated header: it now shows the Vello (by IDEXX) logo instead of the "Vello messaging" title, and the close control uses a new icon. A new open-in-a-new-tab button beside it opens the full Vello app on the conversation the panel is currently showing, leaving the panel open. While the panel loads, the message now reads "Loading text messages…".
Fix for memos of diagnostic results
If ezyVet receives a diagnostic result from IDEXX VetLab Station or IDEXX Reference Laboratories, the patient name shows in the Subject column of the memo for the diagnostic result. Previously, the patient name did not show in the Subject column.
Fixes for the template editor
In the template editor, ezyVet correctly indents a bulleted item when you select Tab on the keyboard. Previously, ezyVet did not indent the bulleted item.
- You select Click to Expand
- You select a checkbox in the expanded section of the document
- You do not use presenting mode
When you copy content from one template editor and paste the content into a second template editor, ezyVet keeps the formatting of the content. For example, if you copy a Clinical Summary into a Discharge Summary, ezyVet keeps the section titles and the section dividers. Previously, ezyVet changed the section titles and removed the section dividers. Content that you paste from Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel continues to keep the cell colors and the cell borders.
In the template editor, when you select Tab on the keyboard in a bulleted item, ezyVet moves the cursor to the next box or picklist. If the document has no box or picklist after the cursor, ezyVet indents the bulleted item. To decrease the indent of a bulleted item, select Shift+Tab on the keyboard. Previously, ezyVet always indented the bulleted item, and you could not use Tab to move to a box or picklist in a bulleted item.
In the template editor, when you select Tab on the keyboard, ezyVet scrolls a long document to show the box or picklist that you move to. Previously, ezyVet did not scroll the document, so the box or picklist was not on the screen.
In the template editor, ezyVet keeps the height of an empty line between two sections of a template, for example between two tables. Previously, ezyVet increased the height of the empty line, and a template that was one page long could become two pages long.
In the template editor, ezyVet shows the Save button and the Cancel button in a Source code dialog box. Previously, ezyVet put the two buttons below the lower edge of the dialog box if the browser window was large. As a result, you could not save your changes to the HTML source code.
In the template editor, when you save an estimate template, ezyVet keeps the Twig template variables in the table that shows the line items. Previously, ezyVet could move the Twig template variables out of the table. As a result, a printed estimate showed no line items.
Fix for the ezyVet calendar (new calendar design only)
ezyVet shows the clinical record number and the appointment reason on the appointment card of an appointment that is less than 30 minutes long. ezyVet shows the client name and the other appointment information on one line and puts a vertical bar between each item. Previously, ezyVet showed only the patient name and the icons on the appointment card of an appointment that was less than 30 minutes long.
Fix for estimates in presenting mode
- You added an in-person signature in presenting mode
- You saved the estimate in presenting mode and then printed it or saved it as an attachment
ezyVet also corrected the document templates that this problem changed.
Fix for Xero Setup Wizard
- The payment method has the Remote Payment setting selected
- The payment method has an integration selected in the Hosted Payment Integration box
- ezyVet did not save the payment method
- ezyVet showed this error message: You must set up a Hosted Payment Integration when enabling Remote Payment.
To complete the Xero configuration, it was necessary to deactivate the payment method, and then activate the payment method again.
Other fixes
When you select Reset items in an invoice, ezyVet keeps the staff member in the Staff Member column of invoice line items that have a service fee. Previously, when you selected Reset Items, ezyVet removed the staff member from the Staff Member column of the invoice line items that had a service fee.
When you open the Clinical primary tab, ezyVet automatically puts the cursor in the search box of the left sidebar. Previously, ezyVet put the cursor in the Presenting Problems box.
Presenting Problems section of clinical records: When you use the plus button to add a presenting problem, ezyVet correctly puts the cursor in the Presenting Problem box that you added.
If you merge a contact record and an estimate refers to one of the contact records, the estimate shows the correct contract record information. Previously after a merge, the Client box in the estimates screen for the estimate showed a - character.
Communication tasks start correctly at the scheduled time and ezyVet sends the communications. Previously, communication tasks sometimes did not start at the scheduled time, and ezyVet did not send the communications.
