ezyVet version 44.1: Changes to inventory functions

Read about inventory changes in ezyVet version 44.1.

Changes to how ezyVet shows inventory values

For an applicable product, ezyVet uses the Count value of an inventory count record as the source of the inventory level value of the product. The level value:
  • Shows as an entry in the Balance column of the Overall Inventory Movement section of a product's inventory settings
  • Uses the date and time of the inventory count record
Figure 1. ezyVet version 44.1: Relation between Count and Balance values

For an inventory count, the Overall Inventory Movement section of a product's inventory settings shows the Movement value as N/A. The value shows N/A because an inventory count does not cause an adjustment to the movement value.

Changes to batch information

In previous ezyVet versions, the Overall Inventory Movement section showed one entry for each time that you counted a different batch for one product. ezyVet version 44.1 shows the count for each batch together in one entry in the Overall Inventory Movement section. The one entry:
  • Shows each batch number in the Batch column
  • Shows the total of the inventory count number of each batch in the Balance column
Figure 3. Batch values between previous ezyVet versions and version 44.1

In previous ezyVet versions, areas of the user interface showed inventory level values adjacent to batch numbers. ezyVet version 44.1 removes the level values from view because they caused performance problems.

Changes to reports

For the Inventory Movement report, the Movement column of the report output for an inventory count shows as N/A. The value shows N/A because an inventory count does not cause an adjustment to the movement value.

ezyVet version 44.1 stops the function of the Show inventory value average setting in the Inventory Value report because it calculates incorrect data. If you select Show inventory value average, the report output does not change as a result.
