Configure a new appointment type

All sites have an initial set of appointment types. If necessary, a practice manager can configure a new appointment type. The new appointment type can have a name and settings that are applicable to the appointments that the organization makes.

To configure a new appointment type, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.

  2. In the settings list, select Settings.

  3. Select Appointment Types.

    ezyVet shows the New Appointment Type screen.
  4. In the Name box, enter a name for the appointment type.
  5. If necessary, use the Booking Group box to select an appointment booking group.
  6. In the Order box, enter an applicable order value.
    Note: The Order box controls the sequence that ezyVet uses to show information in its user interface.
  7. In the Default length in minutes box, enter the time that ezyVet automatically sets for new appointments.

  8. In the Color Scheme section, select in the Color box.

  9. Use the color selection tool to select the applicable color.
    Note: To close the color selection tool, select an area that is not in the tool.
  10. If necessary, set Use contrast font color to YES.

    Note: The Use contrast font color setting automatically changes the text color of calendar appointments to have good contrast. For example, if you select a dark color for the appointment type, set Use contrast font color to YES to automatically set a light color for the related text.
  11. In the Properties section, make the settings for mandatory information.

  12. Select Save.

ezyVet has the new appointment type. Staff can select the appointment type when they make or change an appointment.
