Configure ezyVet to automatically lock clinical records

If a practice manager configures ezyVet to automatically lock clinical records, less manual work is necessary to lock the records.

Make sure that you complete the procedure given in Get access to user account permissions for locked clinical records.
To configure automatically locked records, do this procedure.
Important: An automatically locked clinical record is not the same as a record that is in a clinical record lockdown period. For information about the differences, refer to Locked clinical records and clinical record lockdown in About locked clinical records.
  1. Select Admin.

  2. In the settings list, select Clinical.

  3. Select Clinical Settings.

    Important: If you cannot see the Clinical Settings command, speak to ezyVet customer support. They can give you access to the command.
  4. Select Use Auto Lock.

    Important: Only the settings in the Auto Lock section are applicable to automatically locked clinical records. The settings in the Clinical Record Lock Down section have no relation to automatically locked clinical records:

  5. Enter the necessary Auto Lock Offset value.
    Note: Use a day value or a week value. For example, enter 1 day or 1 week.
    Note: You cannot enter 0 for the value.

  6. Select Save.
    The Save button
    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

ezyVet automatically locks the clinical records when applicable.
