About the Patient Care Type setting of medication dispense requests
Use the Patient Care Type setting of a medication dispense request to select the care type of the related patient. The Patient Care Type setting identifies if the dispense request is for inpatient care or outpatient care.
ezyVet shows the Patient Care Type setting in the Request Dispense dialog box:
Note: If the medication dispense request does not have a patient care type, set Patient Care Type to N/A.
The dispense request table in the Medications dashboard also has a Patient Care Type filter:
You can use the filter to quickly find medication dispense requests of a given patient care type.
The filter has four settings. This table gives each setting and function:

|---|---|
| All | If you select All, ezyVet shows all medication dispense requests. |
| N/A | If you select N/A, ezyVet shows medication dispense requests that have a Patient Care Type value of N/A. |
| Inpatient | If you select Inpatient, ezyVet shows medication dispense requests for inpatient care. |
| Outpatient | If you select Outpatient, ezyVet shows medication dispense requests for outpatient care. |
