About pharmacy contact records
A pharmacy contact record is a contact record that uses a Contact Type of Pharmacy. Use a pharmacy contact record when it is necessary to do an external dispense. An external dispense is when a different organization dispenses a prescribed medication.
Pharmacy contact records show in the Transfer to Pharmacy box of
the External Dispense dialog box:
The External Dispense dialog box shows if you select the
External Dispense option when you prescribe a
medication:
After you prescribe the medication, ezyVet keeps a record of the external dispense. The record tells you that your organization did not dispense the medication. Thus, an external dispense does not change your inventory quantity.
