Scenarios for travel billing settings
Appointment address selection for new appointments gives information about ezyVet travel billing settings. It is possible to use the settings in four different scenarios to calculate travel charges for clients. Each scenario and the related result is given as follows.
Fixed travel billing only
- You enter a Fixed Travel Fee Product value.
- You do not enter a Variable Travel Fee Product value.
- You do not enter a Minimum Fee value.
Result: ezyVet only uses the Fixed Travel Fee Product value to calculate the travel charges that show on the invoice.
Variable travel billing only
- You enter a Variable Travel Fee Product value.
- You do not enter a Fixed Travel Fee Product value.
- You do not enter a Minimum Fee value.
Result: ezyVet uses the Variable Travel Fee Product value multiplied by the appointment address distance value to calculate the travel charge that shows on the invoice.
Fixed and variable travel billing only
- You enter a Variable Travel Fee Product value.
- You do not enter a Fixed Travel Fee Product value.
- You do not enter a Minimum Fee value.
Result: ezyVet uses the Fixed Travel Fee Product value, and the Variable Travel Fee Product value multiplied by the appointment address distance value to calculate the travel charge that shows on the invoice.
Fixed and variable travel billing with a minimum fee
- If ezyVet calculates that the cost of variable travel is less than the Minimum Fee value:
Result: ezyVet shows the Fixed Travel Fee Product value and the Minimum Fee value on the invoice.
- If ezyVet calculates that the cost of variable travel is more than the Minimum Fee value:
Result: ezyVet uses the Fixed Travel Fee Product value, and the Variable Travel Fee Product value multiplied by the appointment address distance value to calculate the travel charge that shows on the invoice.
