To use a different distance for the appointment, enter the distance in the Travel Billing box.
A staff member could have appointments to visit many clients. It is not necessary for the staff member to go back to the veterinary practice after each appointment. They will visit each client in sequence. Thus, the distance between the staff member and each client appointment is different to the default address distance specified for each client.
