ezyVet appointments and insurance eligibility information
A practice manager can configure the Trupanion integration to use an appointment type and appointment status to help send insurance eligibility information. As a result, you can quickly and easily send insurance eligibility information from an appointment to Trupanion.
To send insurance eligibility information from an appointment, use the
Trupanion Exam Day Offer dialog boxes that ezyVet can automatically show. ezyVet automatically shows the Trupanion Exam Day
Offer dialog boxes:
- When you make and save an appointment that has appointment types and appointment statuses that a practice manager configured in the Trupanion integration
- When you change the appointment type or appointment status of a saved appointment to use appointment types and appointment statuses that a practice manager configured in the Trupanion integration
To do the configuration, a practice manager uses the settings of the Automated
Exam Day Offer Settings section in the Trupanion integration:
A practice manager wants their staff to easily send
insurance eligibility information to Trupanion:
- When staff make appointments that use the Consult appointment type
- When staff make Consult appointments that have the Confirmed appointment status
The practice manager configures the Trupanion
integration to automatically show Trupanion Exam Day Offer
dialog boxes for:
- The Consult appointment type only
- The Confirmed appointment status for Consult appointment types
As a result, ezyVet automatically shows the
Trupanion Exam Day Offer dialog boxes:
- When staff make and save an appointment that uses the Consult appointment type and the Confirmed appointment status
- When staff change the status of a saved appointment that uses the Consult appointment type to use the Confirmed appointment status
- When staff change a saved appointment to use the Consult appointment type to use the Confirmed appointment status
The Trupanion Exam Day Offer dialog boxes
The Trupanion Exam Day Offer dialog boxes that ezyVet automatically shows are related to the data that the source patient record has.
If the patient record has missing information that is necessary to send insurance
eligibility information, ezyVet shows this dialog
box:
Species and breed mapping makes a relation between the species and
breeds of the Trupanion integration and the
equivalent species and breed records in ezyVet. If it is
necessary to do species and breed mapping to send insurance eligibility information,
ezyVet shows this dialog box:
If the patient record has the necessary information to send insurance eligibility
information, ezyVet shows the dialog box that follows.
The dialog box includes a setting that controls if the patient owner receives SMS
messages from Trupanion about Exam Day
Offers.
