Dispense a product from a CUBEX cabinet

You can use a CUBEX cabinet to dispense a product that is necessary for a patient's clinical care. After you dispense the product from the CUBEX cabinet, the CUBEX system automatically syncs the record of the product that you dispensed to the patient's clinical record.

Make sure that you:
  • Synced the applicable clinical record to the CUBEX system
  • Signed in to the CUBEX cabinet
To dispense a product, do this procedure.
  1. Use the search box to find the applicable patient.
    Note: You can do a search for:
    • The patient name
    • The clinical record number
    The search box
  2. Select the applicable patient.

  3. Select Next.

    The cabinet shows the available departments.
  4. Select the applicable department.
  5. Select Next.

  6. Select the applicable veterinarian.
  7. Select Issue/Return.

    The cabinet shows the medications that you added to the patient's clinical record.
    Trouble: If CUBEX does not show a medication:
    • The CUBEX cabinet does not have the applicable medication
    • A practice manager did not configure the product record to sync to CUBEX
  8. Select the checkbox that is adjacent to the applicable product that you must dispense.

  9. Select Issue item(s).

    The drawer of the CUBEX cabinet opens. And the cabinet automatically opens the lid of the applicable product.
  10. Remove the product from the CUBEX cabinet.
  11. Select Next.

    The cabinet shows a confirmation message.
The product is dispensed.
