Send a Trupanion e-claim from a clinical record

E-claims make it easy to send insurance claim information directly from a clinical record to Trupanion.

Make sure that your ezyVet site has a configured Trupanion integration
Make sure that you set the correct insurance policy number in the applicable patient record
Make sure that you set the correct supplier record for the insurance integration in the applicable patient record

To send a Trupanion e-claim from a clinical record, do this procedure.

Note: Each e-claim that you send to Trupanion can have only one related invoice.

Select Clinical.
Find and select the applicable clinical record.
Select eClaims.
Adjacent to Claims, select the plus button.
ezyVet shows the New Claim screen.
Note: As an alternative, select New Claim.
Do a check of the initial information.
Select Save.
ezyVet shows a new e-claim record and related settings.
In the Miscellaneous Details section do a check of the Pay clinic setting and clear it applicable.

Note: The Pay clinic setting controls who Trupanion makes payment of the insurance benefit to. If you select Pay clinic, Trupanion makes payment to your organization. If you clear Pay clinic, Trupanion makes payment to the patient owner.
A new Trupanion e-claim record automatically has Pay clinic selected. If it necessary to change who receives the insurance benefit payment after you send the e-claim, you must speak to Trupanion Partner Support.
Use the Diagnosis Or Signs (*) box of the Vet Conditions section to enter an applicable diagnosis.
Enter the remaining applicable information in the e-claim record as necessary.
Select Send Claim.
