About ezyVet notifications
ezyVet notifications is a new pilot feature. Notifications help keep your memos inbox tidy, decrease distraction, and make it easier to separate system messages from messages that staff send to you.
- Cleaner workflows, because when you select a notification:
- ezyVet automatically sets the notification to the read status
- ezyVet automatically opens the applicable record or screen that the notification refers to
- Icons that make it easy to identify notifications for diagnostic results and refill requests
- Less clutter, because ezyVet shows only one notification for a set of diagnostic results that are related to one diagnostic request
- A filter that you can use to quickly and easily show only unread notifications
Notifications compared to memos
Compared to notifications, memos are for messages that you send to other staff and receive from staff. ezyVet could also automatically send you memos for some types of functions.
- Diagnostic results
- Refill requests
- Release notes
- Completed reports that you manually started
Depending on customer feedback, we may replace other types of memos with notifications.
- It is possible ezyVet sent the memos before your site had the notifications feature enabled
- The memos are ones that ezyVet automatically sent but that the notifications feature does not replace
You can configure ezyVet to send you an email message for each memo that you receive. For the memos that notifications replace, it is not possible for ezyVet to send you an email for each notification.
Notifications and diagnostic results
Some customers who are veterinarians use memos as a task management system for diagnostic results. Because the primary function of notifications is to tell you about new information, they are not a good method to use for task management.
To know if diagnostic results are completed, you can use the Diagnostics dashboard tab. The Diagnostics dashboard tab has filters that you can use to quickly and easily find and show completed diagnostic results. For more information, refer to The Diagnostics dashboard tab.
To complete a diagnostic result, refer to Change a diagnostic result to the Completed status.
Pilot feature access
Access to the notifications pilot feature is applicable to an ezyVet site. Thus, all persons who use the ezyVet site will have access to notifications. Notifications feature access for only some persons who use the site is not possible.
The next group to try ezyVet notifications is scheduled to start Monday 18, November 2024.
IDEXX customer support enables the notifications pilot feature for an ezyVet site. No manual configuration is necessary for you to use notifications.
