A practice manager can configure an appointment type to automatically use a configured clinical layout. When staff make an appointment that uses the appointment type, ezyVet automatically sets the clinical layout in the related clinical record of the new appointment.

The clinical layout that the appointment type uses shows in the Clinical Layout box of a new appointment:

Note: If necessary, you can select a different clinical layout when you make an appointment. To select the clinical layout, your user account must have the Administration > Clinical Layouts > Apply Clinical Layouts permission.

Tip: You can set a clinical layout for a clinical record directly. It is not necessary to make an appointment before you can use the clinical layout.

The settings of a configured clinical layout show its relations with appointment types. To show the relations, a practice manager selects the Associated Appointment Types tab of the configured clinical layout:
