  • Added new Hospital, Inventory location, and Available columns
  • Changed the style and text color of the Show disabled setting

    Note: ezyVet initially:
    • Automatically sets the Hospital filter to the ezyVet hospital that you are signed in to
    • Automatically sets the Inventory location filter to the inventory location that you are signed in to
Previously, when ezyVet version 45.1 initially became available, ezyVet initially:
    • Automatically set the Hospital filter to All Hospitals
    • Automatically set the Inventory location filter to All Locations
Note: To remove a filter, select All in the applicable box. For example, to remove a hospital filter, select All Hospitals in the Hospital box.
For batch-tracked products, the Inventory balances table:
  • Replaces the Expiry column with an Expiration date column
  • Shows a new Show zero quantity setting
  • Shows the available product quantity for each batch of the applicable inventory location
  • Only shows batches that had inventory movements in the location that you selected with the Inventory location setting
Note: The Inventory balances table always shows batches that have no inventory movements.
For products that have Tracking Level set to Product, the Inventory balances table:
  • Does not show the Expiry column
  • Shows the available product quantity for the applicable inventory location

The Overall Inventory Movement table for batch-tracked products has new Start date, End date, and Show allocated filters.

Changes to the New Vaccination dialog box

ezyVet 45.1 has these changes to the New Vaccination dialog box:
  • You can add more than one batch entry for vaccinations that use batch tracking
  • A Qty box shows for each batch entry
  • You can add or remove batches
  • If you add a batch, ezyVet automatically shows quantities for the batch
  • You can manually make changes to batch quantities
Note: Before you can select Add, the total of all batch quantities and the vaccination quantity must have the same value.

Changes to the Dispense Medication dialog box

ezyVet 45.1 has these changes to the Dispense Medication dialog box:
  • You can add more than one batch entry for medications that use batch tracking
  • A Qty box shows for each batch entry
  • You can add or remove batches
  • If you add a batch, ezyVet automatically shows quantities for the batch
  • You can manually make changes to batch quantities
Note: Before you can select Dispense or Dispense + Print, the total of all batch quantities and the dispense quantity must have the same value.

Change to the format of passwords, client secrets, and API keys

In ezyVet version 45.0 and subsequent versions, ezyVet does not show the text of API keys in settings screens for integrations. And ezyVet does not show the text of passwords or client secrets in settings screens for:
  • User accounts
  • Integrations that are not API integrations

When you enter an API key, password, or client secret in an applicable settings screen, each character that you entered shows as a bullet point ( • ).

After you save a user account record that includes a password, ezyVet does not show a System Password box. ezyVet shows a Reset Password button where the System Password box was before you saved the record:
The Reset Password button
Note: After you select Reset Password:
  • ezyVet removes the Reset Password button
  • ezyVet shows an empty System Password box where the Reset Password button was
  • In the System Password box, you can enter a new password
  • If you do not select Save after you enter a new password, ezyVet keeps the password that the user account had before
If you configured sync settings of centralized inheritance to always sync passwords of user account records from a central site to an inherited site:
  • In the user account record of an inherited site, it is not possible to select the Reset Password button
  • In the user account record of an inherited site, the Reset Password button shows dimmed
  • When you hover over Reset Password in an inherited site, ezyVet shows this message: Password is centrally managed and cannot be reset on this site
Previously, in an applicable record of an inherited site, you could select Reset Password. After you selected Reset Password:
  • ezyVet showed an empty System Password box
  • You could not enter text in the System Password box

Change to batch-tracked products in inventory counts

If the product of a line item uses batch tracking, it is mandatory to select a batch. If you do not select a batch:
  • The Batch box shows Unallocated
  • The Count box shows 0 and you cannot change the value
  • The Count box shows a gray color

Previously, if you did not select a batch or you selected Unallocated in the Batch box, you could enter a value in the Count box. As a result, you could record incorrect inventory levels for batch-tracked products.

Other changes

The Controlled Drug report uses the new ASAP 5.0 format from the American Society for Automation in Pharmacy (ASAP). As a result, the report obeys state laws in the United States.

Payment integrations: Only staff members with the Financial > Payment > Refund/Void user account permission can enter a negative value in the Payment box of the New Payment dialog box. Previously, all staff members could enter a negative value in the Payment box.

When you add, change, or deactivate a price of a product record, the change log shows the applicable department or business unit. As a result, if a product has prices for more than one department or business unit, you can identify which price changed. Previously, the change log showed only the product name.

Fixes for the template editor

ezyVet correctly keeps empty paragraphs that you add to a template. Previously, after you saved changes to a template, ezyVet incorrectly removed empty paragraphs.

If you enter a shorthand text item in the template editor, ezyVet correctly keeps the text that follows the item. Previously, ezyVet incorrectly removed text that followed the shorthand text item.

In printed and PDF output, borders of tables in templates show correctly. Previously, the borders were missing in printed and PDF output.

Fixes for estimates

ezyVet automatically changes the values shown in the Low total and High total columns correctly if:
  1. You change the value shown in the Low qty box of an estimate line item
  2. You change the value shown in the High qty box of the same estimate line item

Previously, after you changed the values quickly, the Low total and High total values for the estimate line item did not automatically change.

On the estimates screen, after you change an estimate status from Accepted back to Draft, ezyVet correctly shows the Sales template button. Previously, the Sales template button did not show unless you selected a different screen and then opened the estimate again.

Fixes for the inventory count screen

The Batch column always shows Unallocated for products that have Tracking Level set to Product. Previously, if you used ezyVet Scan to do the inventory count, some entries in the Batch column were empty.

After you select a batch for a line item, ezyVet shows the correct batch expiration date. Previously, ezyVet initially showed the batch expiration date as the year 1970.

Fixes for inventory settings of product records

After you use the Hospital box to select a hospital, the Inventory balances table correctly shows inventory information for the selected hospital. Previously, if you selected a hospital that you were not signed in to, the table did not show the hospital's inventory information.

Overall inventory movement table: When you enter a date in the Start date or End date box, ezyVet does not apply the date filter until you fully enter the date. And if you enter a date in an incorrect format, ezyVet shows The date range provided is invalid. Previously, the Overall inventory movement table did not operate correctly if you:
  • Started to enter a date in the Start date or End date box, and ezyVet tried to apply the date filter before you fully entered the date
  • You entered a date in an incorrect format
Note: The correct format for date in the Overall inventory movement table's Start date and End date boxes uses a dash ( - ) between the month, date, and year.

Fixes for Easy Clinical Notes (pilot feature)

ezyVet correctly prints a document after you use Easy Clinical Notes to add a product to an invoice, then approve the invoice. Previously, ezyVet did not print the document.

Note: This fix is only applicable for products that a practice manager configured for automatic document printing. For an example configuration, refer to Automatically print a vaccination certificate after invoice approval.

After you add a clinical procedure, ezyVet correctly shows the billing trigger products in the sequence that a practice manager configured. Previously, ezyVet sorted the billing trigger products by product code.

Other fixes

The output of the Inventory Transfer report correctly uses the date range that you selected with the report settings. Previously, the output did not include inventory transfers that occurred during the end date.

You can deactivate records of expired batches. Previously, when you tried to deactivate a record, ezyVet showed this error message: Entered batch date is expired.

When you select Email Report to send an email to staff members that includes a Performance Summary report or a User Target Summary report, ezyVet correctly sends the email. Previously, some staff members did not receive the email.

When you send statements to your clients as letters, ezyVet uses the template that you select in the Statements report. Previously, ezyVet did not use the selected template and tried to use the statement template configured for the department you were signed in to. If the department had no configured statement template, ezyVet showed an error message.

When you try to sign in to ezyVet and ezyVet does not sign you in correctly, ezyVet stops the sign-in process. As a result, you can sign in again. Previously, ezyVet could sign you in with the System user account. As a result, when you made changes in ezyVet, ezyVet showed System and not your name as the person who made the changes.

Module blocking: If you block Tasks System for a user account or a permissions role, the dashboard tab shows correctly for the person. Previously, ezyVet incorrectly showed an empty screen.

Invoices: The Batch box of an invoice line item shows available batches to select. Previously, the Batch box showed No options and you could not select or change a batch.

When a patient has no date of birth recorded, IDEXX VetConnect Plus results no longer show an incorrect default age (~56 years) or apply the wrong reference ranges, the birthdate is now fixed before the request sent instead of a placeholder date being sent.

Configuration settings for user accounts and user group tags: If you add a user group tag to a user account, ezyVet saves the user account settings correctly. Previously, ezyVet removed the user group tag after you added it.

Contact records: When you add or change a tag, ezyVet correctly shows the tag on the contact record. Previously, ezyVet did not show the tag.

Product records: When you change a price of a product record, ezyVet correctly adds a change log entry for that price only. Previously, if a product had prices for more than one department or business unit, ezyVet added a change log entry for each of those prices.

Security

ezyVet version 45.1 has better security for the Xero integration.
