ezyVet version 43.8 is available from November 18, 2025
Changes to the Prescription Request dialog box
ezyVet version 43.8 has changes to the Prescription Request dialog box. The changes include:
- The Dispense box and Qty box for a refill automatically show the same value as the Qty box for a medication
- The Qty box for a refill does not show incorrect decimal places
- You cannot use a higher value for repeated refills than the maximum value that a practice manager configured for the medication
- The value in the Dispense box cannot have a higher value than the value in the Qty box for a medication
- To calculate the Total Qty, ezyVet includes the value in the Qty box for a medication
- Small changes to the Refills up to box and the Qty box that make it easier to read large numbers
- When you select the Refillable box, ezyVet puts your cursor in the Refills up to box
Other changes
Controlled Drug report: If you select an American Society for Automation in Pharmacy version for a report, you can select one of these to show in the Date of Birth (PAT18) column:
- A client's date of birth
- A patient's date of birth
Previously, ezyVet only showed the client's date of birth in the column.
A practice manager can configure the Create a Prescription Request dialog box to show a Days Supply box. As a result, when you approve a prescription request, the Controlled Drug report can show the period that a staff member dispensed a medication in.
Fix: Client names in postcards
ezyVet shows the correct name of a client in a postcard if these conditions agree:
- The name of a previous client shows in an invoice for a patient
- You change the client in ezyVet
- ezyVet uses the standard-of-care items of the invoice to automatically make communication record for the items
Other fixes
When a client completes a remote payment with a card, ezyVet sends you a memo. Previously, if ezyVet saved a card after a terminal payment, ezyVet did not send a memo when the client made remote payments with the same card.
ezyVet correctly sends SMS messages that have special characters. Previously, ezyVet did not send SMS messages if they had special characters.
