Make a sales template for invoices or estimates

A practice manager can make a sales template that staff can use for invoices or estimates.

Make sure that your ezyVet site has the necessary products with the correct product data.
To make a sales template to use for invoices or estimates, do this procedure.
Important: ezyVet has many features that help staff to automatically add products to the billing triggers of clinical records. The billing triggers automatically make invoices that have the necessary products, prices, and related information. The billing triggers operate while staff do the applicable clinical tasks (for example, clinical procedures).
ezyVet customer support:
  • Does not recommend that you use sales templates to directly make invoices
  • Does not recommend that you use sales templates with the billing triggers of clinical records directly
Sales templates are a good method to calculate the possible costs and product quantities of invoices. But to make the invoices, the recommended method is to only use the ezyVet features that automatically add products to the billing triggers. If you use sales templates and the automatic features, invoices could have duplicated line items.
  1. Select Financial.

  2. Select Sales Templates.

    ezyVet shows the New Sales Template screen.
  3. In the Template Name box, enter a name for the sales template.
    Tip: Use a name that makes it easy for staff to identify the sales template. For example, you can put EST- at the start of the name.
  4. If your site uses a department configuration, select the applicable department in the Department box.
    Note: If your site does not use a department configuration, ezyVet does not show the Department box.
  5. In the Item column of a line item, select an applicable product for the sales template.

  6. Set other applicable values for the product (for example, a different price, quantity, or tax rate).
    Tip: ezyVet automatically changes the price of a product that is in a sales template when the price changes in the product's configuration. To set a price that does not change, select the checkbox that is in the padlock column of product's line item:

  7. If necessary, select the green plus button and do steps 5 thru 6 again to add more products.

  8. Select Save.

    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

ezyVet has a configured sales template that staff can use with invoices and estimates.
