Make an anchor link

An anchor link is a link that identifies a location in a document. When a person selects a link that uses an anchor link, the page goes to the location of the anchor link.

  • Open the applicable document or template
  • Make sure that the document or template has the necessary initial content
To make an anchor link in a document or template, do this procedure.
Note: This procedure uses the table of contents in a standard operating procedure as an example.
  1. Put the cursor at the location where is necessary to make the anchor link.

  2. Select the anchor link button.

    ezyVet shows the Anchor Properties dialog box.
  3. In the Anchor Name box, enter a name for the anchor link.

    Tip: Enter a name that makes it easy to find the location in the document.
  4. Select OK.

    ezyVet puts a flag icon at the location of the anchor link:

  5. Select the text where it is necessary to make the source link.

    Note: If the document or template does not have the applicable text for the source link, first enter the text. Then, select it.
  6. Select the link button.

    ezyVet shows the Link dialog box.
  7. In the Link Type box, select Link to anchor in the text.

  8. In the By Anchor Name box, select the name that you entered in step 3.

  9. Select OK.

ezyVet changes the text of step 5 to a link:

When a person selects the link in a published document or in a document that uses the template, ezyVet goes to the location selected in step 1.
