Correct the orientation of an image

An image that you add to an ezyVet record can sometimes show with an incorrect orientation. (For example, an image that you add to a patient record or a template image record could incorrectly show on its side.) The image orientation is a property of the image file. To correct the orientation, you must use an image editing app.

Make sure that your device has a dedicated image editing app.
This procedure gives an example of how to correct the orientation of an image.
Note: You cannot use ezyVet to correct the orientation.
Note: This procedure uses the Photos app of Microsoft Windows 10 as an example. You can use a different app to do the same task (for example, Windows Paint). The general steps are the same.
  1. Find the applicable image.
Note: If the image is in ezyVet, first download the image to your device or find the source image in your device's drive.
  2. Use the Windows Photos app to open the image.

  3. Select the Rotate button until the image has the correct orientation.

Tip: As an alternative, select Ctrl + R to change the orientation.
  4. When the image has the correct orientation, close the Photos app.
The image has the correct orientation property. If necessary, add the image to the applicable ezyVet record.
