About CUBEX and Vet Radar

If your organization uses Vet Radar and has a CUBEX cabinet, you can use Vet Radar to schedule dispenses from the CUBEX cabinet. The CUBEX cabinet syncs dispense information to client invoice records in ezyVet. As a result, the CUBEX integration decreases the quantity of time necessary to record a patient’s clinical care and to do related invoicing.

When you sync a clinical record from ezyVet to Vet Radar, ezyVet automatically syncs the clinical record to the CUBEX cabinet at the same time. After you synced the clinical record, you use a Vet Radar patient sheet to record the patient’s clinical care (for example, to record the treatment schedule for pain medication). Then you use the patient sheet to schedule a treatment task. If it is necessary to dispense a product from the CUBEX cabinet to complete the treatment task, Vet Radar shows a This product will sync to CUBEX message:
The This product will sync to CUBEX message
After you add a treatment to the patient sheet, Vet Radar syncs the scheduled dispense to the CUBEX cabinet if you:
  • Make a treatment task
  • Make and start the treatment task
  • Make and complete the treatment task
The scheduled dispense information that Vet Radar syncs to the CUBEX cabinet is:
  • The product name
  • The start time of the treatment task
  • The quantity of the product that you must dispense
After Vet Radar syncs the dispense information, the treatment task pane shows the Successfully arrived at the CUBEX machine confirmation message:
The Successfully arrived at the CUBEX machine message
After you dispense the product:
  • The CUBEX cabinet automatically syncs the dispense information to the client’s ezyVet invoice record
  • The treatment task pane shows the Billing sent confirmation message

The Billing sent confirmation message
Note: After Vet Radar shows Billing sent, you cannot remove the related treatment task from the patient sheet.
Tip: The practice manager can change the period before the CUBEX cabinet shows a scheduled dispense. For example, if you scheduled a dispense for 11:00 AM, the practice manager can tell the cabinet to only show scheduled dispenses one hour before 11:00 AM. To change the period, the practice manager uses the Immediate Profile Window setting in the cabinet. For more information, refer to the CUBEX product documentation that is available in MyCubex.

About changes to a scheduled dispense

If necessary, you can change the information of a treatment task after Vet Radar syncs the scheduled dispense to the CUBEX cabinet. For example, you can change:
  • The quantity of the product that you must dispense
  • The time that you must dispense the product
If necessary, you can remove the scheduled dispense from the CUBEX cabinet. The CUBEX cabinet removes the scheduled dispense if you:
  • Ignore the treatment task
  • Remove the treatment task
  • Disable the treatment
  • Complete the patient sheet before you dispense the medication
  • Discharge the patient
Tip: If you disable the treatment then start the treatment again, Vet Radar syncs the scheduled dispense to the CUBEX cabinet again.
