Vetcove Purchasing Platform: Set inventory thresholds for a product

To use Vetcove Purchasing Platform with ezyVet, it is necessary to set inventory thresholds for the applicable products in ezyVet.

Note: This procedure is only applicable to ezyVet products that are inventory-tracked or batch-tracked.
To set inventory thresholds, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin tab
  2. In the settings list, select Products.
    The Products setting in the settings list
    ezyVet shows the product records of your site.
  3. FInd and select the applicable product.

  4. Select Ordering.

  5. In the Minimum Inventory Level (Units) box, enter the minimum number of in-inventory items of the product.
  6. Set Type to Minimum Reorder Amount or Reorder to Max Level as necessary.
  7. In the Quantity (Units) box, enter an applicable value.
    Note: The values that you enter in the Quantity (Units) box are applicable to the settings of step 5 and 6..
    You enter a Minimum Inventory Level (Units) value of 10. Then:
    1. You set Type to Reorder to Max Level
    2. You enter a Quantity (Units) value of 20.

    As a result, when your organization has less than 10 items of the product in inventory, ezyVet automatically makes a purchase order for product. The number of items of the purchase order is sufficient to keep 20 items of the product in inventory.

    You enter a Minimum Inventory Level (Units) value of 10. Then:
    1. You set Type to Minimum Reorder Amount
    2. You enter a Quantity (Units) value of 20.

    As a result, when your organization has less than 10 items of the product in inventory, ezyVet automatically makes a purchase order for product. The number of items of the purchase order is a minimum of 20 items of the product.

  8. Use the Date Range boxes to select an applicable date range.
    Note: The date range that you select controls the period during which the inventory thresholds are applicable. For example, you can set different inventory thresholds for different times of the year.
  9. Use the Inventory Location box to select an inventory location for the product.

  10. Select Save.
    The Save button
    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

The product has the inventory thresholds set.
