Approve a pending patient referral from rVetLink

A pending patient referral is a referral that a veterinary organization shared to ezyVet from rVetLink. A pending patient referral does not have a related appointment record in ezyVet. To make a related appointment record, you must first approve the referral.

To approve the referral, do this procedure.
Tip: The eReferrals dashboard tab has a red color when there are new pending patient referrals. ezyVet does a check for new referrals from rVetLink at five minute intervals.
  1. Select Dashboard.

  2. Select eReferrals.

  3. Select Pending.

  4. Find the applicable referral, then select the green check mark button.

    Note: To do a search for a referral, use the Search Referral box and the related filters, then select Search:
    Note: If necessary, you can see a PDF document of the referral before you approve the referral. And you can see other files that the referring veterinarian sent. To get access to the PDF document and other files, select the paperclip button:

  5. Enter the applicable information.
    Note: Examples of applicable information include the client and the patient. If necessary, you can select an existing ezyVet patient or contact.
    Note: Mandatory information shows * adjacent to the related box.
  6. Select Save & Create Appointment.

  7. Enter applicable appointment information.
  8. Select Save & Close.
