You cannot select the SEND PRE-APPROVAL button that shows in an estimate screen

If your ezyVet site uses the Trupanion integration, an estimate screen shows a SEND PRE-APPROVAL button. You use the SEND PRE-APPROVAL button to send an insurance pre-approval to Trupanion. If the SEND PRE-APPROVAL button shows dimmed and you cannot select it, do this troubleshooting.

The patient record does not have an insurance number

Enter an insurance number in the patient record

  1. Find and select the applicable patient record.
  2. In the Insurance Number box of the patient record, enter the correct insurance number.

The patient has an insurance pre-approval that is in progress

If an insurance pre-approval of an estimate is in progress, you cannot send an insurance pre-approval again. Each estimate can have one in-progress pre-approval only.

Wait until Trupanion sends the pre-approval record back to ezyVet

When ezyVet receives the insurance pre-approval record from Trupanion, you can send one more insurance pre-approval.
