Send a diagnostic request to Zomedica

To use Zomedica to do a diagnostic test, you must send a diagnostic test request.

  • Make sure that your ezyVet site has configured integrations for Zomedica.
  • Make sure that your site has a configured supplier contact record for Zomedica.
  • Make sure that the necessary species and breed mapping is done.
To send a diagnostic test request, do this procedure.
  1. Select Clinical.

    The left sidebar shows clinical records of your ezyVet site.
  2. In the left sidebar, find and select the applicable clinical record.

  3. Select Diagnostics and Treatments.

    Trouble: If ezyVet does not show the Diagnostics and Treatments button, select View By Group:

  4. Adjacent to Diagnostic Request, select the plus button.

    ezyVet shows a New Diagnostic Request dialog box.
  5. In the Vet box, select the applicable veterinarian.

  6. In the Diagnostic Supplier box, select the applicable supplier contact record of the Zomedica integration.
  7. In the Diagnostics boxes, select each diagnostic test that you want.
    Note: Only the diagnostic codes that Zomedica supplies show when you select a Zomedica supplier contact record.
  8. Select the breed and species of the animal.
    Note: The species and breed must be mapped to the Zomedica integration first. If a breed is not known, select the UNKNOWN breed.
  9. Make other settings as necessary.
  10. Select Add.

ezyVet sends the diagnostic test request to the Zomedica diagnostic machine worklist. The Diagnostic Request section of the clinical record shows the request.

Do the diagnostic test on the Zomedica diagnostic machine. When the test is complete, Zomedica sends the result to the patient's clinical record in ezyVet, in the Diagnostic Result section.
