End-of-year reporting: Prepare for the next year
After you complete an end-of-year report, use this information to make reporting easier for the next year.
Use product groups
Product groups make it easier do reporting because you can select a product group as a filter for some reports. As a result, ezyVet uses all products of the product group to calculate the report output. Thus, it is not necessary to select one product each time for an applicable report.
For example, some of the ezyVet reports that are applicable to end-of-year reporting can use a product group as a filter. The product group makes it easier to quickly know revenue for a set of related products. For example, you could have a set of products that you use for grooming. To make it easier to do revenue reporting for the grooming products:
- Make a product group with the name Grooming
- Add grooming product records to the Grooming product group
- In applicable reports, select the Grooming product group
The Invoice Revenue By Group report is one example of a report that can use a product group as a filter. The report settings include a Primary Product Group box that you can use to select a product group:
