About data validation of patient records

During your onboarding process, the data conversion process converts data from your source practice information management system (PIMS) into an ezyVet trial site. While your data is in the trial site, you must complete the data validation procedures. The procedures make sure that the data conversion process correctly converted your data.

Important: You must complete the procedures before the pre-go-live conversion.

ezyVet customer support recommends that you examine a minimum of 10 patient records, and that you examine a mixture of different patient records. For example, ezyVet customer support recommends that you examine:

Patient records that you made in the previous six months
Patient records that you made more than six months before today
Patient records that you know fully

For each patient record, you must complete each data validation procedure. The image and table that follow show:

1	The patient's owner.	Make sure that a patient record has a relation to the correct client contact record
2	The patient's name.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct patient name

5	The patient's weight.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct patient weight
6	The patient's rabies tag number.	Make sure that a patient record shows the correct rabies vaccination information

9	The patient's species.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct species
10	The patient's breed.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct breed
11	The patient's color.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct patient color
12	The deceased date of the patient record.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct deceased date
13	Patient notes.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct patient notes
14	Clinical records that are related to the patient record.	Make sure that a patient record shows the related clinical records
15	Patient reminders for care services.	Do a check that a patient record has the correct reminders
16	Financial records that are related to the patient record.	Make sure that a patient record shows the related financial records
17	Patient medication records.	Make sure that a patient record shows the correct medication records
18	Patient vaccination records.	Make sure that a patient record shows related vaccination records
19	Attachments of the patient record.	Make sure that a patient record has the correct attachments
20	Communication records that are related to the patient record.	Make sure that a patient record shows related communication records
21	The status of patient records.	Make sure that the data conversion process correctly converted the status of each patient record
