Vello Client Engagement: Appointment messaging and communication records

Vello Client Engagement can automatically send messages to clients. The messages tell clients how to use Vello to read important information about their appointments.

Vello can automatically send these types of messages to clients:
  • Appointment confirmation
  • Appointment reminder

An appointment confirmation message tells a client to send a confirmation reply. The reply tells you that the client will do the appointment.

An appointment reminder message helps make sure that a client remembers to do an appointment.

Vello sends an appointment confirmation message three days before an appointment.

Vello sends an appointment reminder message in the same day as an appointment.

Note: If you want Vello to automatically send email, make sure that applicable client contact records have an email address. And if you want Vello to automatically send SMS messages, make sure that applicable client contact records have a mobile number.

Vello Client Engagement and communication records

For each message that Vello automatically sends, ezyVet makes a communication record. Thus, ezyVet has a permanent record of messages that Vello sends.

To find and show Vello communication records:
  1. Use the Communication dashboard tab
  2. Set the Status filter of the dashboard tab to Done

Note: Communication records for Vello SMS messages show the full text of the message. Communication records of Vello email messages show some of the full message.
