SmartFlow iPad app version 17.8.8 is available from July, 2026.
New: Weight-based fluid rate
Note: New Fluids is a pilot feature and is only available for Early Adopters customers. For more information about New Fluids, go to Get started with New Fluids.
In the New Fluids parameter editor, the Maintenance rate section has two fields:
- Weight-based, in ml/kg/hr
- Absolute, in ml/hr
When you enter a value in one field, SmartFlow calculates the value in the other field. SmartFlow uses the weight of the patient and the weight unit of your practice to calculate the value. The fluid line continues to show the absolute rate. On the summary panel, the name Weight-adjusted changes to Weight-based.
Change
When you open a pop-up editor in a flowsheet or an anesthetic sheet, the keyboard does not show. To show the keyboard, select the value field. Previously, the keyboard showed at the same time as the pop-up editor. On small iPads, the keyboard decreased the space available for the editor.
