Change the patient of a clinical record

If necessary, you can change the patient of a clinical record to a different patient.

Note: After you do this procedure, the clinical record's invoices will continue to have a relation with the contact record of the initial patient’s owner. The applicable invoices show in the Invoices Billed to Other Customers section of the clinical record's Financial tab:

If necessary, you must manually change the invoices to have a relation with the contact record of the different patient’s owner. Do this immediately after the end of this procedure. And if it is necessary to change an invoice’s relation:
  1. Remove the invoice’s payment allocations.
  2. Unapprove the invoice.
  3. Change the client of the invoice to the applicable contact record.
To change the patient of a clinical record, do this procedure.
  1. Select Clinical.

  2. Find and select the applicable clinical record.
  3. In the Patient section of the clinical record sidebar, select the pencil button.

  4. Select the applicable patient record.
