ezyVet version 44.8 is available from April 21, 2026.

Changes to user interface areas for batch tracking

ezyVet version 44.8 has small changes to some areas of the user interface that you use for batch tracking. The changes include:
  • Visual changes to the date selection calendar that you use to select an expiration date for a batch
  • The name of the New Batch dialog box changed to Add new batch
  • Visual changes to the Add new batch dialog box

Changes to medication dispense types

If you selected the wrong dispense type for a medication that you recorded before, you can:
  • Change the dispense type from Administered to Dispensed
  • Change the dispense type from Dispensed to Administered

If you initially recorded the medication in an area that is not a Medication Prescription dialog box, you can change the dispense type. For example, if you initially recorded the medication as an invoice line item, you can change the dispense type.

Previously, you could only change the dispense type if you initially recorded the medication in a Medication Prescription dialog box.
Note: If you set a medication's dispense type to External Dispense or Historical, you cannot change the dispense type.

Changes to screens and dialog boxes for appointment type configuration

Screens and dialog boxes for appointment type configuration in ezyVet version 44.8 have a new design that makes configuration easier. And the new design makes it easier to see settings when you change the size of the browser window.

Changes to batch information

When you enter new batch information, ezyVet shows an error message if:
  • You enter a batch number that is the same as a batch number in the batch list
  • You try to add batch information for an expired batch
Note: Batch numbers that you enter are not case-sensitive.

Other changes

IDEXX Reference Laboratories integration: When you configure a supplied diagnostic test, you can enter the name or the code of the test in the Supplied Diagnostic Tests box to do a search. As a result, tests are easier to find. Previously, you could only enter the test code.

If you deactivate a diagnostic imaging request that has a related VetMedStat interpretation request, ezyVet automatically deactivates the interpretation request.

The Backorder report output does not include information about deactivated purchase orders. As a result, the report has better performance. Previously, the Backorder report output included information about deactivated purchase orders.

Fix: Received Inventory Details screen

When you do these steps, ezyVet saves your changes:
  1. Select the Receive Toggle button
  2. Make changes to line items of a purchase order
  3. Select Save

Previously, ezyVet did not save your changes.

Other fixes

If you try to set a medication refill's expiration date to after the configured maximum period, ezyVet shows the correct maximum period in an error message. Previously, the error message showed an incorrect maximum period. For example, if the maximum period was six months, the error message showed six years.

SmartFlow integration: After you discharge a patient with a completed dental chart, ezyVet receives dental chart information that SmartFlow automatically sends. Previously, ezyVet did not correctly receive the information.

Wellness plan enrollment: If applicable, ezyVet uses the enrollment fee of the department that you signed in to. If your department does not have a configured price for an enrollment fee, ezyVet uses the configured price for your database. Previously, ezyVet only used the configured price for your database.

You can send a fax from ezyVet for a business contact record that does not have a first name or last name entered in the record. Previously if the business contact record did not have the names, ezyVet did not send the fax.

Integration for IDEXX Reference Laboratories: If you set Update cost price based on contract price in the integration settings to NO, ezyVet sets the applicable diagnostic products to the correct price. Previously, ezyVet incorrectly set the diagnostic products to a contract price.

ezyVet version 44.8 has a fix for a problem with inventory location selection in ezyVet Scan. If your ezyVet user account has access to an ezyVet hospital, you can select inventory locations of that hospital in ezyVet Scan. Previously, some customers could not select some inventory locations.
