ezyVet version 44.8 is available from April 21, 2026.
Changes to user interface areas for batch tracking
- Visual changes to the date selection calendar that you use to select an expiration date for a batch
- The name of the New Batch dialog box changed to Add new batch
- Visual changes to the Add new batch dialog box
Changes to medication dispense types
- Change the dispense type from Administered to Dispensed
- Change the dispense type from Dispensed to Administered
If you initially recorded the medication in an area that is not a Medication Prescription dialog box, you can change the dispense type. For example, if you initially recorded the medication as an invoice line item, you can change the dispense type.
Changes to screens and dialog boxes for appointment type configuration
Screens and dialog boxes for appointment type configuration in ezyVet version 44.8 have a new design that makes configuration easier. And the new design makes it easier to see settings when you change the size of the browser window.
Changes to batch information
- You enter a batch number that is the same as a batch number in the batch list
- You try to add batch information for an expired batch
Changes to diagnostic interpretation requests
- Submitted
- Reported
- Cancelled
Previously, it was not possible to connect an imaging request to an interpretation request after you made the imaging request.
Changes to tagging tasks
- At box of the Has Balance filter
- From and To boxes of the Total Payments in Period filter
For example, you can enter -0 days or +2 months.
- Make sure that you enter + or - before the number
- Make sure that you enter a space between the number and hours, days, weeks, months, or years
When ezyVet completes a tagging task, ezyVet automatically changes the date in the Next Run box and the dates of the filters. To calculate the dates of the filters, ezyVet uses the values in the date boxes and the date in the Next Run box.
This table gives an example of calculated filter dates if the date in the Next Run box is June 16, 2026:

Previously, when ezyVet completed a tagging task, ezyVet did not change the dates of the filters correctly.
Other changes
IDEXX Reference Laboratories integration: When you configure a supplied diagnostic test, you can enter the name or the code of the test in the Supplied Diagnostic Tests box to do a search. As a result, tests are easier to find. Previously, you could only enter the test code.
If you deactivate a diagnostic imaging request that has a related VetMedStat interpretation request, ezyVet automatically deactivates the interpretation request.
The Backorder report output does not include information about deactivated purchase orders. As a result, the report has better performance. Previously, the Backorder report output included information about deactivated purchase orders.
Fix: Received Inventory Details screen
- Select the Receive Toggle button
- Make changes to line items of a purchase order
- Select Save
Previously, ezyVet did not save your changes.
Fix: Clinical record invoicing
- You add a clinical procedure to a clinical record
- A billing trigger of the clinical record makes an invoice and adds an invoice line item for the clinical procedure
- You open the invoice and change the staff member of the line item to a different staff member
- You open the initial clinical record and make changes to it (for example, you adjust the date or add notes)
Previously, ezyVet incorrectly changed the staff member of the line item back to the initial staff member when you made changes to the clinical record.
Other fixes
If you try to set a medication refill's expiration date to after the configured maximum period, ezyVet shows the correct maximum period in an error message. Previously, the error message showed an incorrect maximum period. For example, if the maximum period was six months, the error message showed six years.
SmartFlow integration: After you discharge a patient with a completed dental chart, ezyVet receives dental chart information that SmartFlow automatically sends. Previously, ezyVet did not correctly receive the information.
Wellness plan enrollment: If applicable, ezyVet uses the enrollment fee of the department that you signed in to. If your department does not have a configured price for an enrollment fee, ezyVet uses the configured price for your database. Previously, ezyVet only used the configured price for your database.
You can send a fax from ezyVet for a business contact record that does not have a first name or last name entered in the record. Previously if the business contact record did not have the names, ezyVet did not send the fax.
Integration for IDEXX Reference Laboratories: If you set Update cost price based on contract price in the integration settings to NO, ezyVet sets the applicable diagnostic products to the correct price. Previously, ezyVet incorrectly set the diagnostic products to a contract price.
ezyVet version 44.8 has a fix for a problem with inventory location selection in ezyVet Scan. If your ezyVet user account has access to an ezyVet hospital, you can select inventory locations of that hospital in ezyVet Scan. Previously, some customers could not select some inventory locations.
Integration for Vetcove Purchasing Platform: ezyVet version 44.8 sets a minimum inventory level of 0 for products that have no configured minimum inventory level. As a result, ezyVet correctly syncs minimum inventory levels for products to Vetcove Purchasing Platform. Previously, if a practice manager did not configure a minimum inventory level for a product, ezyVet did not sync the information.
If your ezyVet site uses a department configuration, inventory thresholds keep the date range that a practice manager configured. Previously, for sites with department configurations, all inventory thresholds incorrectly had a date range of January 1 to January 1.
When you use ezyVet with a mobile device, you can add a medication to a patient or clinical record. Previously, you could not add the medication.
Windcave terminal payments: The merchant reference number of a Windcave payment record has the same value as the receipt number of the related ezyVet payment record. Previously, Windcave payment records of terminal payments had no merchant reference numbers.
Security
ezyVet version 44.8 has security fixes for PayJunction terminal payments and Windcave terminal payments.
