Release notes: ezyVet version 43.2

ezyVet version 43.2 is available from August 26, 2025.

New: Frequently ordered diagnostic tests

ezyVet makes it easy for you to select tests that you use frequently. As a result, your staff have more time to do other tasks.

When you select the Diagnostics box of the New Diagnostic Request window, ezyVet shows 10 tests that staff at your organization selected most frequently during the last two years.

New ezyVet report: SOC Overdue with Upcoming Appointments

The SOC Overdue with Upcoming Appointments report shows information for patients that have:
  1. A scheduled appointment
  2. Overdue standard-of-care items

Invoicing screen changes

ezyVet version 43.2 has changes to the buttons shown at the top of the invoicing screen. The changes keep the most frequently-used buttons always in view.

For a saved invoice, the screen shows these buttons:
  • Save
  • Make payment
  • Print
  • + Add sales template

These buttons are available only after you select the vertical ellipsis ():
  • Reset items
  • Copy

  • RMV dispense report (if applicable)

Changes to medication refills

ezyVet version 43.2 has a new cancel refill button that shows in the Medication Prescription dialog box. If your user account has the Clinical > Diagnostics and Treatments > Medication > Edit Medications permission, you can
  • Select cancel refill to cancel a medication refill.
  • Cancel a refill if the applicable clinical record is locked.

Note: Only staff with the Clinical > In Clinic Notes > Addendums > Add/Edit user account permission can add or make changes to an addendum.

Changes to surcharges for integrated payment methods

The Payment Revenue By Group and Payment Summary reports have an Integrated Surcharge column. The Integrated Surcharge column shows the total surcharge amount for each payment method.

ezyVet has two new template variables for receipts that show the surcharge amount for the payment. This table shows each new variable and its applicable template system:

Template variableTemplate system
{PaymentSurchargeAmount} Classic template system
{{ payment.getSurchargeAmount }} Twig template system

In ezyVet version 43.2, a payment method for a payment integration can only use the surcharge feature of the applicable payment integration.

Other changes

The Bank Account Number box in ezyVet system settings has an increased character limit of 100 characters. As a result, it is easier to enter bank account names and numbers.

IDEXX Reference Laboratories integration: A diagnostic request includes a patient's weight if the applicable patient record has the patient's weight in one of these units of measurement:
  • Gram
  • Kilogram
  • Pound
  • Ounce
Note: If a patient record shows a patient's weight as grams, a diagnostic request for the patient shows the weight as kilograms.

ezyVet version 43.2 does not let you enter emojis in messages that use the in-person communication method. Previously, you could enter emojis but they caused missing text in the messages.

Streamlined estimates (pilot feature): If you add a sales template to an estimate, ezyVet syncs the unit prices of fixed line items in the sales template to the estimate. For more information about the pilot feature, refer to ezyVet pilot feature: Streamlined estimates.

Fix: Payment allocations in an approved invoice

An approved invoice immediately shows an applicable payment allocation in the Payment/Invoice Allocations section if:

  1. You set Make Payment When Required on Invoice Approval to No in ezyVet system settings
  2. You select Make Payment in an approved invoice
  3. The Record Allocation section of the New Payment dialog box has the approved invoice selected
  4. You receive the client payment

Previously, it was necessary to refresh the invoicing screen in ezyVet for the payment allocation to show in the approved invoice.

Fix: Diagnostic results of Zoetis Reference Laboratories

If a diagnostic result as PDF has an entry with data in more than one column, the applicable clinical record shows the data correctly. To identify data of the each column, the diagnostic result in the clinical record shows a number after the entry.

For example:
  1. A diagnostic result as PDF has an entry for amikacin
  2. The entry for amikacin has data in two columns
  3. To identify data of the first column, the diagnostic result in the ezyVet clinical record shows Amikacin 1
  4. To identify data of the second column, the diagnostic result in the ezyVet clinical record shows Amikacin 2

Previously, a diagnostic result in a clinical record did not clearly identify data of each column of a PDF diagnostic result.

Other fixes

PetSure integration: You cannot make changes to an invoice that has a relation to an e-claim if the e-claim shows a status of Claim is Acknowledged. Previously, ezyVet let you make changes to the invoice.

Product supplier integrations: When an ezyVet site receives a version upgrade, ezyVet syncs product prices from the product supplier in the same day as the upgrade. Previously it was necessary to wait two or three days for product prices to sync.

Has Contained Bundle Item filter of the Records dashboard tab: If you use the filter, record search results do not include deactivated products and products that a practice manager removed from the applicable product bundle. Previously, record search results included deactivated products and removed products.

The table of a patient's complete history in their clinical record shows diagnostic results in the table correctly. Previously, the table could show two of the same diagnostic result when these conditions agreed:
  1. The patient had a large number of entries in their complete history.
  2. The table had 25 entries in view.
  3. A diagnostic result was the 25th entry.
Diagnostics dashboard tab: If you select a date in the first Dates box that is between today and three months before today, ezyVet keeps the selection. Previously, if you went to a different screen, ezyVet did not keep the date you entered.
Figure 6. Dates box

Records dashboard tab: If you select Copy Department Pricing, ezyVet makes copies of pricing correctly. Previously, if the pricing for a product in a department was deactivated, ezyVet did not change the price of the product for the department.

You can activate and deactivate supplied diagnostic tests of a department. Previously, an error occurred when these conditions agree:
  1. The department pricing for the applicable diagnostic product of the supplied diagnostic test is deactivated.
  2. You configured the applicable diagnostics integration to automatically make price changes for the diagnostic tests.

Product bundle configuration for inventory: If you set Tracking Level to Batch in the configuration settings for a product bundle, ezyVet correctly keeps the setting. Previously, ezyVet incorrectly cleared the setting after you saved changes to a product bundle configuration.

Animals report: The report output shows tag data in the correct column. Previously, the output showed tag data in the Mobile Numbers column.

If you use Vello or appointment scheduling integrations with ezyVet, deactivated planning guide information syncs correctly to Vello or the appointment scheduling integrations. As a result, appointment times show correctly to clients.

Planning guide templates: In the Apply Planning Guide Template dialog box, if you select a calendar in the Resource box, the planning guide entries show in the correct calendar. Previously, ezyVet incorrectly showed the entries in the calendar of the signed-in staff member.

Integration for Zoetis Reference Laboratories: Diagnostic results in ezyVet show all result data correctly. Previously, ezyVet did not show all results of some diagnostic tests.
