Configure the ezyPrint integration (large deployments only)

ezyPrint has an installer that is applicable to IT teams that want to do a large deployment of ezyPrint.

  • Sign in to the Windows device that you want to use as the print server for ezyPrint and install the drivers for the applicable printer
  • Connect the printer to the Windows device
  • Use Windows printer settings to configure the correct paper size for the applicable printer
  • Make sure that the printer operates correctly
Note: The ezyPrint integration is compatible with these operating systems only:
    • Windows 11
    • Windows 10 (64-bit and 32-bit)
    • Windows Server 2022
    • Windows Server 2019
Note: The method given in this procedure is recommended only for large deployments of ezyPrint. If you are a smaller organization, refer to Configure the ezyPrint integration for an easier method.
Note: The ezyPrint installer for large deployments uses a command-line interface. Thus, the installer is a good method to use for remote installations. But it is not possible to use the installer for a silent installation or non-interactive installation. The installer always shows dialog boxes that are necessary to make settings in to complete each ezyPrint installation.
To configure the integration, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin tab
  2. In the settings list, select Integration.
The Integration setting in the settings list
ezyVet shows a New Integration Setting screen.
  3. In the Integration box, select ezyPrint.
    The Integration box
  4. If your ezyVet site uses a department configuration, use the For Division box to select an applicable department.
Note: If your site does not use a department configuration, ezyVet does not show the For Division box.
  5. Select Save.
    The Save button
  6. Select 64bit Command Line Installer.

Note: The installer link name shows the name of your site. In the example image, the site name is Callisto Vets.
Important: Do not send the ezyPrint installer to staff of a different ezyVet site or a different department.
  7. Make sure that you have administration permissions, then start the installer.
Windows opens the command line interface for the ezyPrint installer.
  8. Continue the installer steps until the installation is completed.
  9. In the ezyPrint integration page in ezyVet, select Update printers.
    The Update Printers button
ezyVet shows the printers that are connected to your device:
    Connected printers
Note: Each printer that ezyVet shows includes the name of the device that the printer is connected to. In the example image, the device name is Botany-front-desk.
Trouble: If ezyVet does not show the applicable printer:
    • Make sure that the printer is on
    • Make sure that the printer is connected to your Windows device
    • Open Windows printer settings and make sure that the printer configuration is correct

If necessary, speak to your IT staff.

  10. Refresh the page and make sure that the quick links area shows the ezyPrint button.
