Send client invoices for interest charges

Use the Charge Late Fees/Interest report to send clients invoices for interest charges of overdue account balances.

  • Make sure that ezyVet has the necessary settings for interest charge rates
  • Make sure that your user account has the necessary permissions
  • Make sure that you know the settings of the Charge Late Fees/Interest report
To send invoices to your clients, do this procedure.
  1. Select Reporting.

  2. Select Charge Late Fees/Interest.

    ezyVet shows the report settings.
  3. If applicable, select contact record tags in the Has Contact Tag: (Any) box.
    Note: The result is that the report shows only the contact records that have the given tags.
  4. If applicable, enter the payment terms in the Payment Terms box.
    Note: The result is that the report shows only the contact records that have the given payment terms.
  5. Enter the date range for the invoices in the From Date(Charged On The Previous End Of Day Balance) box and Charge Up To Date box.

  6. If applicable, enter a different date in the For Balance At Date box.

  7. If applicable, enter a minimum dollar quantity for the interest charges in the Minimum Charge box.

  8. If applicable, select On Due Date.

    Note: If you select On Due Date, the report uses the due date of each client invoice to calculate the interest charge.
  9. Select View List.

    • Each client that has an overdue account balance
    • The interest charge of each client and other applicable information

  10. Select the applicable clients.
  11. If applicable, enter a different date in the Invoice Date boxes.

    Note: The Invoice Date boxes set the date of each invoice that has the interest charge.
  12. Select Create Invoices or Create And Approve.

    Note: If you select Create Invoices, ezyVet makes the invoices but does not automatically approve them. If you select Create and Approve, ezyVet makes the invoices and approves them at the same time.

The contact record of each client with an overdue account balance has a related invoice for the interest charge. You can send the invoices to the clients.
